I'm really surprised there isn't a thread for this.

New Mario Kart Trailer (4/3/14):

That aside, it looks INCREDIBLE! Plus we got a preview of some returning courses (Royal Raceway!) and characters!

I was a bit spoiled by the Rainbow Road because of certain GAMING CHANNELS ON YOUTUBE.

Just kidding, I hope Dry Bowser/Funky Kong are back too.

As for race tracks, the new ones look beautiful and the old ones are a lot of my favorites (TICK TOCK MOTHERFUCKING CLOCK) so I'm looking forward to it for sure!

In Mario Kart 7. I don't think they'll repeat Retro Tracks for a long time, which is admittedly disappointing.

I'm very impressed with the graphic and visual updates to all the retro tracks especially Donut Plains 3 and Royal Raceway.
 
Still no Wario Colosseum...sigh.

But enough of that, the rest of the tracks are just, just awesome!

Oh yeah Grumble Volcano and Music Park! It would be funny if they didn't fix the lap exploit on Grumble Volcano. Glad to see that they also made N64 Rainbow Road more exciting by adding some variety to it and adding the actual danger of falling off.

I guess the Wiggler motorcycle existing means that Wiggler probably won't return as a playable character because Wiggler riding a Wiggler motorcycle would just be odd.

Yes, MK7 was a huge disappointment.
 
Toad's Turnpike <3 Final Lap portion made my ears do things that I'd rather not post.
 
Super psyched for this game man. I was already pretty psyched for it (Seeing as MK8 was one of the main reasons I even have a Wii U) but goodness this is just awesome. Rainbow Road 64 as the final race on the Retro Lightning Cup? Hell yes! The song is there, the new designing is there, but the feeling of playing N64 way back when is the only feeling that I think I'll be experiencing when I'm playin it.
 
I cannot wait to crush the competition and watch some inevitable item mayhem occurring. On the other hand, I will be relieving the nightmare that is Mirror Mode Toad's Turnpike.

That track wasn't even that bad. That Yoshi course was sent from hell though...

No man, DK Summit was fucking amazing. Although MKDS Rainbow Road is the best Rainbow Road of all time.

This side by side comparison blew my mind. I know 8 looks better, but not THIS MUCH better
 
MKWii was always more "polished gamecube" than good looking Wii to me
now
a good looking Wii is the likes of Galaxy 2 and Brawl
thems are some good looking wiis
