The Overwatch Thread

Is there a patch notes page or something that will let us know ALL of the changes to the heroes? At first i thought the people on reddit were bullshitting (one said Mei had more health but I'm pretty sure she had 250 health in the beta) but now it's killing me knowing the heroes got patched and i don't know what they are...
 
Don't forget they also added the Store Button in Loot Box.
Unsurprising, but...

I actually do kinda like that dynamic, there's no limit to levels in Overwatch and you'll always EVENTUALLY get one after hard work.

Though the chances of getting salty if you hit bunk is way higher.
 
Watching Angry Joe's Salt as he got 20 Skins out of 50 bought boxes last night was interesting. 4 of the Skins were Legendary Skins, with a 5th gold being just 500 Credits (what a tease).

His salt was real as he kept getting sprays and voices.
 
It sounds worse than what TF2 has done and is doing lately with artificial rarity in crates.
 
As far as I'm aware, the game has a pity timer system, so if you're really going 20 crates with nothing, you're just getting unlucky.

Basically, the longer you go without a rare pull from a crate, you get a higher chance of getting one from the next crate, and so on until you open something good and it resets back to the standard rates. This was also a thing with Hearthstone packs, too.
 
Well, I better get like, a full crate of nothing but legendary skins because I've gotten jack shit and I'm level 17.

That's actually ok in my book, this is better than going all in blind with crates and shit
 
So Color wise it's:
White = Common
Blue = Uncommon
Purple = Rare
Gold = Legendary


I got that right?

got the ifrit legendary for my main zenyatta from a crate last night and im just happy

So, I was fighting a Genji with Mei last night on Lijiang Tower and he kept getting overconfident thinking he could kill me.

The end result did not go well for him at one point when he dashed into a room with my ult going on.

ok so this story was back from the open beta, but the game was so good, especially for a pub match that i really want to mention it, plus it might even be a good pointer for the Hollywood map (though i see most defendingcomps going straight to the archway)

So the set up was Mercy (me), 76, Torb, Symmetra, Junko, and someone else i forgot. Symmetra was doing her usual thing setting up turrets near the point while Torb was setting a turret up at this point, near the sign to be specific.

76 decided to stick around him to protect the turret, and naturally i followed suit. plenty of cover out of LOS from the enemy spawn. Junko and i THINK the 6th person made their way into the buildings to spawn camp...

They never stood a chance. I literally never saw an enemy. I know it's pubs, but... the positioning was just perfect. I could literally fly to anyone who needed healing (usually Junko or Symmetra. 76 had healing covered for himself/torb) or damage (for extra suppression)

The only issue this set up had was poor Symmetra defending the car all by her lonesome, but she held her own pretty well, and i was able to fly to her when i heard the "intruder alert" stuff.

I've had dreams of recreating this kind of game, but i'd like to know what other kind of weaknesses this set up would have. if the junko was good enough, he could camp at the balcony by himself while tthe 6th person could defend the point with Symmetra. McCree perhaps? or maybe a Rein to protect the Junko or 76/Torb team from snipers.

I'm getting pretty good at this JunkRat wombo combo stuff where I can pop up with the mine do some cool direct hit air shots and other cool stuff.

Note: If you see a JunkRat going in all suicide like do not meet him for an upclose battle. Cause at the last second you can toss out your bear trap and make sure your opponent gets some death grenades on them as you die. It's a nasty way to be taken out.

Another good thing to learn about Junkrat, don't concuss a Reaper with full health and ult toward your team. Not that I have experience with that mind you . . . (We still won and that's what counts right?)

Also I found this game's equivalant of Derpy Pyro Fights, Derpy D.Va Fights.

Also I'm Goggledgamer#1800 for those interested, don't have a mike though just so people know.

ALSO! McCree is clearly based on SEVERAL old west themed characters, one of which being Doc Holiday, from Tombstone, who McCree even fucking quotes with "I'm your Huckleberry"
Having a poncho doesn't automatically make him the man with no name. If they were the case, then I can say McCree is based on Jotaro, because his Japanese and English voiced actors both voiced him.

So. Like. Aside from Okami/Amaterasu Hanzo, are there any other skins with that level of change?
I'm talking Ultimate look changes, plus different lines for abilities.
I heard some skins have specific voice lines (When using hockey Lucio, he'll say "Game's over, the gloves are off!" or something), but I've seen nothing chronicling those
 
I know when Devil Mercy resurrects, she says "Heroes never die... For a price"

If you wear the speedway tracer outfits like t. racer she will say "speed kills" if you stick someone with pulse.

I dunno if it looks different because I'm long gone before it detonates.

That's really neat, I might need to stick my ear close and see if there's any special lines for Junker D.Va
So far all I've noticed is the keychain on her gun out of the mech is...an actual keychain. It has her Car/Mech Keys.
