You also can't pocket pikmin.
Which is weird, because Rosalina can get rid of them with her Gravity thing.

I didn't think I could do that since I believed they aren't truly "projectiles" but whatever. Can't wait to fight some Olimars and Alphs. I find it fun to just reflect them with Mario's Cape, though. It is too satisfying (especially if it ends up a KO).

You CAN pocket Pikmin when Olimar throws them with side-B, at least.

Can you now?
Not that it matters as I'm the only Olimar player in this game, but

One of the tips says specifically that every one of Olimar's smash attacks is considered a projectile that can be reflected.

It doesn't mention though that the side b can be pocketed. Purdy cool.

For the record, Villager can only hold objects in Pocket for 30 seconds. After that they de-spawn, and if they are 'unique' projectiles (Gyro, Bike, etc) then they can be used again.

Wario without a bike for 30 seconds is a pretty big deal tho

I would argue that Wario has enough aerial dominance to snuff out most of the things that Villager can do in that matchup. Villager can do very little air-to-air in that matchup, meaning if Wario can bait a jump he can just go to town.
Even with Pocket-Bike, I still think that matchup is in Wario's favour.

You can un-pocket and re-pocket to reset the timer. Obviously this doesn't work for moving projectiles though.

Damn. I'm glad he did get in, I think he's a much better Mario rep than Rosalina. She always felt Assist Trophy-level to me.

I've been doing some serious training with Jr. and have decided to add him to my main list. Reeeeally glad they kept him in. I honestly didn't think he would make it, but he did and I'm much happy for it. He's such an adorable, annoying nuisance!

That is very very very true, he is very very annoying when someone is playing him well.

I don't know if this was discussed before, but how does one deal with Sonic online? Most of them just spam the homing move. Seriously, it is the only move they use and I can't find a way around it. It doesn't help that he is a little hard to catch let alone grab because of his speed, of course.

I play with Peach, Dr. Mario, Pikachu and Duck Hunt.

but how does one deal with Sonic online

Depends what character you're playing as, but some universal advice:
-First and foremost, don't get frustrated or intimidated. Keep a cool head and look out for any punish opportunities.
-Also, stick to punishing for the most part. I know it's shocking but, Sonic? Pretty quick. You're not going to get very far trying to outpace him, his buttons are too fast for that.
-Shield is a godlike button. This applies fairly universally, but shield is really really good. It's a catch-all for Sonic's more annoying maneuvers, and he's deceivingly easy to shield-grab.
-If Homing Attack is getting you down, then the best way to deal with it is lingering hitboxes. If your character has a Sex Kick, or anything like a sex kick, then Homing attack is cake while in the air.

Oooh, so that's how everyone is using Sonic.

I honestly was just using his normals because I know next to nothing about his side b and down b.

With those characters, they have a fast nair that have lingering hitboxes. Shield the homing hit, jump out of shield and nair. Most of those nairs are actually kill moves so it should do well for you.

According to Urban Dictionary it's because it "goes in hard, comes out soft".

I thought sex kick meant "It's super sexy when you land it in the right spot"

I was pure.

The initial thrust is a deadly force, but afterwards it just sort of hangs out there, and eventually it just gets so weak that it's not even worth it, and then everyone leaves disappointed, and you get laughed at and you cry and then they don't let you back into the restaurant and your name gets put on a list and I'm sorry, what were we talking about?
(For the record, Dr. Mario's is a Viagraᵀᴹ kick. He knows alllll the right pills)

Soo, after only like 100 online battles and testing various of different characters (Yes, I finally got myself a Wii U). I think my top 5 characters to use soo far are:

1: Palutena
2: Megaman
3: Pit
4: Little Mac
5: King Dedede

And becous I suck at making top lists, I maby lie to myself right now!

Yeah but what about the Ice Climbers

More tier lists to yell at! Yay!

This is the first official Anther's Ladder tier list for Smash 4 Wii U.

"But what is Anther's Ladder and why should I care?" You scream, angrily, from the rooftops.
Anther's Ladder is an online matchmaking site for Melee and PM (Through Dolphin netplay) and Smash 4 (U+3DS, through Nintendo online services). It matches you up with other players that have a similar ranking and tracks the characters that are played, the stages that are played on, and the winner (Through your own input). This list is categorized by win-rate of the characters (Higher win rate = higher tier spot). Something to keep in mind is that characters that are currently being under-used will not get high on the list (If nobody is playing as a good character, nobody is winning with said character).
That being said, it is a good way to get a general feel for the best in game, at least among much-used characters.

the doubles tiers
where's my Triple S tier Pac-Man

Oh no,
how could blue and yellow pikmin be placed so lowly,
especially when Olimar is so godly high on the list that you can't even see him, he's left the image file.
I guess him, red, white, purple, and winged pikmin will have to make do on their own.

Pretty sure that counts as staling, so it's currently in the 'Jail' tier, along with GW/Pika.

I gotta say that that looks incredibly accurate save for one glaring inaccuracy... Dr. Mario is not bottom tier. Maybe Mid tier but goodness not the lowest tier. I'm so sad that people don't play him enough to give him a good rating. That being said I play him frequently and do very well (80% win rate mostly) and the Bowser lineage deserves slightly higher imo. Can count how many times I've lost with Bowser Jr. on my hands.

Other than that, seems legit.

The sound edits get old fast, but there is some pretty sweet Ganon destruction in here.
It does get old, but it's still fun to watch nonetheless.
