In our top story today, there have been numerous reports of Skullgirl sightings in New Meridian, leading the Canopy Military to raise the Skullgirl Alert Level to “Mauve.”
New Meridian citizens are advised to stay indoors, remain vigilant and report anything suspicious.
This newest incarnation of the Skullgirl has yet to be identified, but our sources within the NMPD say her victims seem to be connected with the prestigious Medici family.
Lorenzo Medici, the most prominent of this powerful clan, has withdrawn from the public spotlight and is believed to have gone into hiding.
Having just observed the seventh anniversary of the defeat of the previous Skullgirl, our kingdom's own Queen Nancy (Trinity bless her soul), the appearance of a new Skullgirl is a chilling development.
While expected, the core of our nation is once again shaken as normalcy seemed to be returning.
But we will not be defeated, and stand strong against this new enemy!
In related royal family news, the eldest daughter of Queen Nancy and King Franz, Princess Parasoul, has successfully apprehended the infamous Gigan half-breed terrorist, Scythana, with the help of her elite military force, the Black Egrets.
As reported earlier, Sycthana attacked the Renoir Grand War Memorial in Canopolis, and has been detained in Alastor Maximum Security Prison.
So once again, thanks to Princess Parasoul and the Black Egrets, you can sleep easy at night, even as this new threat has emerged.

I doubt that ending would be reality so ehhhh. I feel bad for Parasoul, having a selfless wish and still becoming the Skullgirl, suffering the same fate as her mother.

Ms. Fortune is a little funky because it actually has a modified version of the ending we see in the game there too where Nadia never meets Irvin, but it seems to have been scrapped in favor of what we got now, then just never removed.

To clarify, I meant I'm glad it was found so that I can talk about it with anyone. Heh.
A few of these actually had preliminary art! Filia's alternate ending was really really really cool looking and I wanted to use the art for one of our sticks but never got to.
The reason why we cut all of these is because we didn't have enough man power to program in the choice option into our very basic story mode, nor the time to finish implementing additional stories beyond what we already had. Before we had our post-IGG current story mode engine, just to time a cinematic I would have to go to a timeline, right click > add frames > 10 frames (because 10 additional frames was the hardcoded maximum limit), over and over and over and over again to time a sequence, because we didn't even have the tech to hold a piece of text until you pressed a button.
Can you imagine doing this? Some holds are 300 frames long! That means I had to right click and type in "10" into a text box then press enter 30 times to get a hold that lasts 5 seconds. Meanwhile, Parasoul's story had shots and lines of dialogue that were held for 1200 frames.
CAN YOU UNDERSTAND THIS SUFFERING

Would also like to point out that if I had to use our old story mode engine to make Eliza's story mode, it would take three straight months (+weekends) to make as a conservative estimate. I would have also gone insane.
