SWATting

My take on this? It's incredibly stupid and the people who do this deserve to suffer the full consequences. Not only is it utterly ridiculous, but it's just wasting everyone's time.

you'd think after how long this trend has been going on that something would be fucking done about it...

oh Boy, Is it time to let off one of my painted "Mc.Rads Very Very Very Long Winded and Vulgar rant about shit?"
*Warning all rants are based off of a product or incident, if your are unrelated to these and feel hurt don't be. Because I think your pretty cool for not doing that*

OK! WHO THE FUCK THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEAL. Let alone be a hilarious one? THE PERSON WHO THOUGH OF THIS IDEAL NEEDS TO ACTUALLY BE SWARMED BY SWAT TEAMS. No, Fuck that, THEY NEED TO BE ON DEATH ROW! I know everybody is pissed about those police shootings where the cops think that the Victim has a gun and blah blah trying not to get into ferguson stuff. But This???? THIS IS FUCKING UNETHICAL. THIS IS ACTUALLY A SERIOUS CRIME. I Learned at a young age to never fuck around with the cops, because A. They're cops and B they don't want to be pulled into childish bullshit. If there are 5 year old who know this, then THIS PROVES HOW BAD YOU ARE. This proves that you're even more childish than a 5 year old.

not likely. the most a SWAT team will do is bust down your door, see that you're doing nothing wrong, then leave. they're not gun crazed maniacs, they only will engage if the situation calls for it.

And when, in surprise and bewilderment, you accidentally make a gesture like your pulling a gun out, what happens then?

This shit ain't safe.

And now combine that with being black...

Has there been any news about someone actually going to jail or at least getting a hefty fine for SWATing?

Mmm, dat schadenfreude.

And it's a fresh thing. I hope that means that the hammer is coming down for other dweebs as well.

Let's all be glad that the community of Skullgirls isn't centered around this BS. Because if this community IS centered on that, you can only wonder how many SWAT-ing will happen due to people losing over a quick match (inbefore Duckator finds you randomly at a random quick match session and defeats you in a blink of an eye).

Absolutely fucking disgusting.

well one of yall called it a few years ago. I hope not only the people involved with the prank are punished but also the people on the swat team who shot him are heavily questioned and charge as well.

The latter wont happen im sure since any kind of police are basically untouchable from punishment here in america but oh well. At least put these kids in prison and shit

Near the bottom of the article:

Around 400 swatting cases happen each year

And here I thought this was a fad that died out in a few months.

Don't they have training for this shit now? Like asking the informant his social security number or taking his ID info in case the call turns out to be SWATting? Or just simply checking from a distance what is happening in the house before the big guns arrive and assessing the situation? I remember someone who got SWATted while streaming, only for the guy to show his pc and chat to the officers on stream, implying they noticed something was up.

This is just sad. It's been 3 years, you'd expect some sort of prevention procedure following recurring incidents but nope.
