I'm excited too!Glad you liked last week's show!
We already have three people signed up for this week's show even without me posting the official link WHICH IS SO GODDAMN AWESOME!
Anyway, super excited to have you coming to play this week! Make sure that you revisit the tournament bracket page 15 minutes before the tournament starts to check-in otherwise you will be disqualified. I cannot stress this enough. We always have a few people that forget to do this and can't participate in the tournament that week.
Also, join the Steam Group and join the chat about 15 minutes before the stream begins so that we can address any questions you have before the tournament starts. We also ask that you make sure you entered the tournament with your stream name so we can quickly set up the game and so on and so forth.
I hope that answers your questions~! If I didn't, check out the rules here to see if your other questions were covered.
Thanks again!
:D
I'm excited too!
Only question I have is: my name on challonge and steam are the same but there is a space on steam, like my name here, but challonge doesn't allow spaces. Does that matter? If so I can just remove the space on steam. Thanks for running these weeklies, I wish something like this existed way back when I started with street fighter, probably would have stuck with it if I hadn't been consistently bodied without any help/support. So thanks for your enthusiasm and hard work in keeping the scene alive.
According to the (I'm assuming tentative) bracket you and I will be engaging in bloodsport this coming Saturday. Maybe you'll get your rematch but know this you dapper lad, I see you rolled your way into the semis. Dios mio, man. Nobody fucks with the Jesus.
COME, LET US ENGAGE IN THE THRILL OF COMBAT! And no, I didn't win any matches, so I didn't get to Semis.
You can watch it after it ends. Twitch has "Past Broadcasts" for a reason. Go participate!
It was regular PC last time, so I don't see why this one would be any different.
i'm thinking the same thing, of course i going to lose the first match, but i'll be happy by not getting perfected. xD
After the match is played you just type the results in the steam chat so they can record it. It is the responsibility of the winner of the match to do so otherwise it doesn't count. I'm assuming the rule is there since they won't be watching all the matches played
So why do you choose to go with the recommended? Just wondering why the input delay should make it any easier. I've tried both and I can't tell if I deal better with lag either way, both are somewhat difficult for me to deal with. Plus I don't know if it's me screwing up my inputs or the lag a lot of the time (which may be due to my rusty chops but I dunno).
I see, thanks for that info. I've been sticking to 0 anyways so I guess it's good to get used to that for accuracy and consistency for online and off I suppose.I was confused because, in the example the win/loss ration was 2-1, but it was reported as 2-0. May have just been a typo.
RE GGPO Delay, Mike Z talked about this recently. Basically, increasing the number adds lag to improve visual consistency; it's better to have smooth gameplay, so set it to zero. Maybe my perception's screwing with me, but I do seem to have fewer lag issues, and the ones I do have tend to be more favorable now that I've changed.
