Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

you know that's a photoshop, right
Yes i know, but the humor around Pucci is pure gold, he is funny with or without photoshop, and is a badass villain, is really one of my favorites characters.

Yes
Out of ~10,211 people on this site
You're the only one who likes Giorno

That's the best 28 I ever did see.

Anyone else feel the KKK thing kind of hurt his story? It took it from over the top tragedy to just kind of farcical. I mean, it doesn't ruin it, it just felt tacked on and unnecessary.

giorno was okay
i felt like he was too
V I R T U O U S
for my tastes, but y'know

I really wonder if a large part of the dislike for Giorno and part 5 in the west comes from the translation. Japan loves 5, but usually no one here cares for it and everyone complains about flat, generic characters, I wonder if part of the issue is that the poor translation failed to capture basically any nuances in character personalities.

giorno is a dumb butt

"i'm gonna take the mafia and make it...
a good mafia!!!!!!!!!!! with no drugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

okay this is 200% true and thanks

Also, just to be clear I'm not claiming JoJo is deep and nuanced, but there are usually little things to add personality to a character.

Like if Giorno was straight up fighting the mafia
I'd be a lot less hard on him
but the fact that he wants to
reform
the mafia
makes him a lot more stupid in my eyes

I understand exactly what you're saying, but because the mafia is so fantastical and bullshit in JoJo I was able to more or less accept it.

Giorno was also a Marty Stu (term for male characters) during most of part 5, and then he went to be literally untouchable and undefeatable with GER, which is why he couldn't come back in part 6.

What makes you say this? Also, what @SanoBaron said.

How funny would be if Giorno with GER would've appeared in Stone Ocean, maybe, fighting against Pucci?, that would be hilarious.

Pucci: For the words of lord, i shall destroy you (Activates MIH)
Giorno: Jajaja, nope (Activates GER, nullify MIH)
Pucci: I can't believe it!, i lost!
Giorno: That's correct, everything you do is useless, muda muda

That Giorno had from little to not character development at all, kinda like Jotaro but different as he had a deeper connection with his allies (Bucceallati and Mista), started so powerful he didn't lost a single stand battle, came close to losing a few, but ended up in the upper hand regardless of the situation, and ended up even being even more broken.

His character was flat from start to end, take away GER's overpowered ability and you'll sucessfully turn Giorno in the blandest Jojo in the series.

What does any of that have to do with being a self insert?

Self inserted into the plot, Buccellati is the real Jojo.

Ayyy don't take me seriously m8

Maybe it's me, but i felt Johnny Joestar more bland, i mean, he is not a bad character at all, but he is just stupid in many of the present situations, outside of Tusk (Act IV) he is not really that deep of a character, maybe it's because he is an alternate Jojo?, i don't know, but he wasn't (for me) as good as the other jojos.

i felt Johnny Joestar more bland
Having easily the most character development of a JoJo so far is bland?

One just cannot have opinions anymore, anyway, i should re-read the manga again, and see what i missed, anyway, i like all the Jojos, some of them may have flaws but every single one of them are awesome.

Everyone is allowed to have an opinion, you didn't say "I don't like Johnny", you said he was bland, which I found odd since he is a character who grows throughout the entire part, unlike say Stardust Crusaders where it's mostly just a fight from point A to point B, SBR is the journey of these characters, especially him as he grows.

No one is saying you aren't allowed to not like him.

No

He make the jelly drink da peepee
exactly
he make innocent creature drink da peepee
what a monster

Or maybe i didn't noticed him too much because Gyro was too awesome that i didn't payed too much attention to Johnny, or maybe that when i read that part, i was too shocked of the universal reset, and i wasn't too nice for another Jojo that isn't a mainline, but an alternate dimensional one, anyways, as i said, i need to re-read everything in order to understand better, i read Steel Ball Run when i was younger so, maybe some of my thoughts were crossing and i couldn't understand him complete.

Maybe i'm just upset because Giorno is too fabulous for some, and because he has GER the most broken ability in all fiction, although i love this character (especially the pose with GER, so awesome) i can't say that he doesn't have flaws, he is smart, but sometimes not, i think that many people are upset because Bruno was more unique and interesting for some, some say that he should have been the Jojo of this part, although i do love me some buccelatti, Giorno is a fairly interesting character, and i have to say, even with many people throwing shit at him, you just have to see, he defeated Diavolo, and he wasn't a small villain, he could destroy Dio, Valentine and possibly Kars, although it was a obvious win for Giogio, he defeated him, you have to show some respect for him.
