BIONICLE Thread (also Lego in general I guess)

Maybe Mata nui Online? is a click and point game, but is very ok game: http://biomediaproject.com/bmp/games/

P.S:Legend of Mata Nui, What is this game?
The Mata Nui Online Game was fuckin' sick, no one can deny that.

Legend of Mata Nui was the game they planned to release on PC in 2001. Some people might remember the intro movie that was on some promotional LEGO software disks, it showed Onua putting himself together. The music is too good and it's a damn shame this never came out.

I have every single GBA Bionicle game. Maze of Shadows is actually pretty damn good, and I had fun with GBA Heroes as well. Both of the Mata Nui online games are amazing, and I have so many memories playing them. Unfortunantely, there are barely any good Bionicle games besides that. I would kill for a good Bionicle game this generation, maybe an open world Okoto game in the vein of Far Cry where you can look for masks and fight Rahi.

Did anybody ever make it through the Voya Nui online game? I never finished that. It was cool, but not as much as the MNOG games.

And don't even get me started on how cool a good Bionicle fighting game would be.

It was a tie-in PC game that should have came out in 2001 when BIONICLE debut, but never got finished. It also was supposed to come with a Kanohi Vahi, but because it was cancelled, they were distributed at local Walgreens.

That being said, regardless of how the game could have been, these animations are pretty awesome, at least for the time.

I'll buy some of those guys. I've been wanting to try the app, as well, I keep forgetting.

I'm just loving the new Kopaka, even with all that gold.

My official review of the Bionicle game for iOS: unfortunately, it's pretty bad, even as far as iOS games go. It's a combat arena where you kill spiders by tapping on them once. It can be played with one finger. There's no level design at all, just a flat arena with an element texture depending on the Toa you picked. Really not worth the time to install it.

When will we get good Bionicle video games again?

It's to be expected that licensed games usually aren't that great. That aside, the app brings up some interesting alternate combination models, like Dinoua.

That one at the bottom looks cool. Not sure what these guys are supposed to be though.

Various skull-themed villains, hence the names like "Skull Warrior", "Skull Slicer", "Skull Scorpio", "Skull Basher", etc.

Anyone know a shop online to buy Toas Mata? I found selling into ebay but ebay sucks so...

I can't believe we never got that game and what we got instead was...

This travesty.

ok look that game COULD have been passable but it obviously wasn't fucking finished and had like 99% of the levels cut out

heroes was even more garbage (minus the handheld ones, those were good)

I have a copy of that somewhere, I should try to dig it out now that I have a PC to play it on.

I liked the weapon designs of the console versions, but the handheld games themselves were by far much better (I have the DS version, quite a shame it doesn't have online support like Metroid Prime Hunters).

Speaking of which ...

This game is also good, a decent dungeon crawler to non-BIONICLE fans, but a great game for fans.

Maze of Shadows is the shit, I beat that game at least 4 times. The gameplay is spot on, the puzzles are great, the art is fantastic and the music is amazing.

So the summer sets are out ... in Europe. Fortunately, accompanying comics have been uploaded online.

Wow, Kopaka was badass for a clumsy person in this episode.

Animated episodes are great, but I wish they would just put out a new comic series, or a TV series, or books or even more serials for all I care. That was what made Bionicle so incredible back before, knowing there was an actual story and characterization behind the figures I was playing with. Unfortunately, I doubt the new line is profitable enough to warrant that. Maybe it's because Greg Farshtey is no longer on the team.

Well, we got 2 books coming up later this year, if not next year. Hopefully that help flesh out the story a bit more.

I'm liking the Spooky Scary Skeletons in this wave though.

Welp, it's that time of the year again, teasers for next year.

We going Reboot Toa Nuva?
Well, this year's Toa sets had elements of their Toa Nuva counterparts, next year will have animal companions that attach to the Toa's back a la 2008, and elements of the Toa Metru.
