Bring me PS4s and low-latency monitors <3

We're 3/5, but I wanna be sure we stay as ahead of schedule as we did last year so we have all the time in the world to stream key matches.

I will need all the setups I can get my hands on to do that.

The hotel for this place is super nice. Can't wait to see everyone here!

Try and make sure it stays super nice until we get there, then? :^P

You should've asked me before I invited the cosplay maids

Then clean up after yourselves before we get there.

On train, should be there in about 5.5 hours.

You can't control my life

Don't play games with my heart, Peanuts

Come to room 205 at the Plaza by the Green if you want your soul stolen.

How far did Dawn get? I thought he made top 8, but maybe I'm thinking about the match in pools I saw him playing...

Oh, MMDS' post was a prediction. I guess I missed that.

Congrats, Liam, and the rest of top 8!!

But a MASSIVE congrats to @DawnHibiki. He has worked really really hard, and he ought to be really proud of himself for placing top 3 at NWM. Great job, dude!

So how was 3/5 for the tournament? On my end it was pretty great.

So how did everyone like the top 8 commentary? I like feedback.

@Hawt Salsa It's great! You, @Mike_Z, and @hilaryyy did really well. I've had lots of fun coming to Northwest Majors VIII. It's one of the reasons why I went to Washington. Shoutouts to everyone who went to the tournament, and congratulations to @Skarmand, @severine, @Mocktopus, @Yaya, @Domo, @Dolfinh, and Kendall Fear for making top 8 for this tourney. Also, thank you @BrandX+, @Shadowfury333, and @MysteriousJ for letting me stay the hotel for a night, as well as eating in Sharis cafe. You guys rock! Also, thank you to the rest of the Skullgirls community for coming to Northwest Majors VIII this year!

I don't have the highest bar for commentary probably, but I liked it. It seemed like you were comfortable and I never thought "man if only someone else were talking".

Glad I could make the trip nicer for you, @DawnHibiki. You, @BrandX+, and @MysteriousJ were great roommates.

Also, thanks @Skarmand and @Mike_Z for the tips. It's a lot more fun to play SG when I'm actively thinking about what random things I can do after a mistake rather than kicking myself when I make one.

On a side note, when was the venue officially open to players in the mornings? I got there at 9AM on the Sunday, and I was the first one there, apart from someone who was working on campus and randomly popped in (who I then played in SFV for a match before they left for their shift), and the NWM organizers setting up for the day.

How was the 3/5 format for time?

Did SG run behind at all?

What was the total number of entries?

~35 Entries.
Basically the same as Marvel.

SG was ahead of schedule the whole tournament even after losing stream time to another game which is becoming the classic.
All delays come from legacy sticks being really annoying to set up on PS4.

3/5 is good.

Brand, Salsa, Mike, Yaya, Dolfinh, Dango, Mock, MystJ, Sprouts, Natezer, Jet, Nekro, Herb, Dawn, Juice, Maddie and others I may be forgetting; It was really nice to see you all again and meet some of you for the first time.
Thank you for coming out and playing.

Hilary and Marshall, you guys did a fantastic job at everything as always.
Thank you so much for helping with all the set ups and transportation and also to everyone at the Vsav house for opening their doors to us and being fantastic hosts.

Thank you very much to Dolfinh, Maddie and Salsa for the encouragement the whole weekend.
It means a lot to me.

@Hawt Salsa
Thank you very much for organizing for Skullgirls this year.
You are a fantastic person and a pleasure to be around.
You don't have anything to worry about and I hope to see you more at future tournaments and locals.
Merci.

Anyone I forgot to mention I still love you too.
I haven't slept yet.
I'm dead.

Wasn't the D pool block also being run with all winner's bracket games on stream, rather than in parallel? I know @hilaryyy wanted to do that, and it seemed like it was roughly the case, but I didn't check.

We could probably run it like like the playoffs (4/7 for those without hockey) and it would be on time.

Had an amazing time. Quick shoutouts to @Mike_Z for some amazing real talk and @Mocktopus for playing out of his mind at his first tournament. I have more but i need to sleep early and am ready to pass out.

The little discussion we had about men was also really nice though I forget who all was there.

okay, it's time:

- To the PNW crew: Domo, Goose, Sev, Hilary. Maaaaaany thanks for giving us a place to chill with everyone those nights. I had a lot of fun just hanging out with people, and I'm so glad I got to experience it with such a nice group!
- My RK teammates: Mock, Hirokuni, Dolfy, Beamsprouts, Fosh. You're all really super great people, and I'm glad we're all the sorta friends that we are. I look forward to when we're next able to spend time together!
- My roommates: Natezer, JMZ, and Mexico Juice. You guys didn't snore and weren't gross, so that's a lot of good points in my book. I was glad to spend some decent time with you guys!
Even if Natezer's opinions are forever irrelevant. What kind of a person doesn't like Dr. Pepper and calls me their friend, pls
- Fellow noteworthy tourney goers: Oprah, Mike, Nekro, Yung Liam, Yaya, Dawn, Jet, and everyone else that I'm probably forgetting. You are all pretty awesome to hang out with, and I hope you all go to more events, cause it'd be niiiiiiiiiice.
- One real big shoutout to Salsa for helping run things as well as he did, and also for making us all cookies. They were real good. I hope to see you at another event sometime soon yeahhhhhhhh

Event was 9/10, would go again (but we need to make sure that A/C works better next time). Expect the footage to be put up sometime soon, when I'm out of this upcoming semester yeah.

All delays come from legacy sticks being really annoying to set up on PS4.
or people plugging their sticks into an unplugged ps4
also my ps4 didn't have a second account set up, which meant that on my setup, against certain people, some players would have to use their ps4 controller in legacy mode when they previously hadn't been.
otherwise you got two people pressing their home buttons stealing control of my account from eachother.

The little discussion we had about men was also really nice though I forget who all was there.

I'm really curious what you guys discussed, and wish I was there for that. It probably was something positive that gave perspective.
