Where is it going to take place? It shall take place in the Global 1v1 chat room.

When will it take place? -STARTING JULY 19 We will run every other Saturday. until then turnys will still be at its regular weekly event.-

What time does it start? 6:00 PM GMT
-MAKE SURE TO ENTER CHAT 15 MINS BEFORE EVENT STARTS-

What type of system does it follow? It follows the swiss style system.

Are there prizes? 20 bucks.

The rules are as follows:
-Its one on one (with the great one) that means no assists no 1v3 no 2v2 just 1v1.
-Everyone around the globe is welcomed even that smelly hobo down the street could join if he didn't blow his money on booze.
-It FT2 that means you need to first to 2 wins.
- The winner reports his score in a private message to the tournament's host. The default format of the score is "[report] Rick won 2-0 with OpponentName". TheHeroOfPie is the tournament host by default; whenever he can't be around to run the tourney, someone else will from ASG.
-The tournament will be in the retail version by default, but if you and your opponent like Eliza's new stage you can both agree to play in beta.
-No Glitching the game so you get some sort of advantage and then we kick you out of the tournament and call you rude things.
-Also don't be an butthole no one likes them poo poo comes from there.

I don't mind getting beat playing in front of a crowd
 
But will every match be streamed? Because it'd take really long. I mean brazilian double elimination tournament, with only winners bracket being streamed, took ~4hrs, and it had ~15 people playing, iirc.

Seeing the point there I guess we can do without live streaming and just have the regular after posting of matches.
 
You could do single elimination and stream the quarter finals, semifinals and finals. Also, it'd be better if it was FT2 (IIRC it's already this way) because solos take longer.

If streaming the whole thing takes too long, I'd go with Colossi's train of thought and stream the more important matches. I'd stick with double elimination, though. Better tournament format imo, less dropping out by an accident in one unfortunate set + that comeback hype.
 
I said Double first, but what would be streamed? The semifinals and finals of each bracket? Could work.
 
Alright we will just stream the semifinals and finals.

It has been brought to my attention the prize of the 50 buck steam card may not work. So I'm wondering what would be a better prize?

At what time would be suitable for a lot of people to start this event?
 
Can an invite for me be possible? Would like to get my solo playing going on. Originally a solo player still is one just starting using a trio but there are never enough solo matches to go around.
 
I think about the same time the UOTS 1v1s was held is a good compromise for a global tournament. Evening in Europe = morning/noon in America.
