Hello, Skullheart! You're looking lovely tonight.
I'm here to introduce you to a new initiative - Alpha Counter EU!
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/SkullgirlsAlphaCounterEU

Coordinated by two experienced SG EU players, @Yallus and @SScrux (+with some help from yours truly), the group has two main goals:
1) Providing regular (=at least weekly) streamed events that do not conflict with (but rather complement) Skullbats EU,
2) Becoming the go-to hub of European Skullgirls streams, videos and other useful and/or entertaining resources.

Our first event is a streamed 3h lobby taking place this Friday (05-06-2015) starting at 7.00pm CEST.
You're welcome to drop in and play with us!

Also, I'll go ahead and quote the group's description to give you an idea on the "hub of resources" part of ACE:
We're a group of European Skullgirls players with a shared interest in promoting the activity of our scene. This involves organizing events, streaming existing ones and generally providing possible exposure for whatever the EU scene is up to. We are also interested in helping newer players improve, so there's no reason to be afraid to join any events.

If you're interested in creating videos, streaming or making other types of content, feel free to let us know so we can a) provide assistance if necessary and b) promote your work. We will take credit for nothing so you can enjoy the fruits of your efforts without worry.
If you just want to play, that's great! In the future, we will be organizing a lot of events and tournaments where you can come to test your skills and maybe even make a name for yourself on stream.

Over time, we will provide links to various community-made resources to help you improve. If you find something you think is useful enough to make the list, please let us know.

Enjoy your stay!

The lobby is live, and so is the stream! Watch it at http://www.twitch.tv/hazardouscrux
Also, if you're EU and would like to join us, hop into the Steam group's groupchat and we'll invite you.
We'll start a second lobby+stream if there are enough people hungry for some action, too!

And so due to a million people showing up, I'm opening a second lobby. Joining procedure is the same, just hop in ACE to join Crux's or my lobby.
Stream link for my lobby: http://www.twitch.tv/stopmurotime
Edit: And now I'm actually even streaming, rather than just thinking I am! Amazing.

This was fun.
Any Europoor who wants to play with fairly skilled players for funzies should participate in Alpha Counter.

This was a success, if I do say so myself. 14 players in 2 lobbies for a long time, then once we were down to 8 players after about 2h, we merged lobbies together while keeping both streams going because hey, more recorded matches. Thanks to everyone who participated, watched and chatted with us on this fine evening!

Archived streams:
Crux: http://www.twitch.tv/hazardouscrux/c/6794799
Muro: http://www.twitch.tv/stopmurotime/v/5847345

Same time next week, eh good lookin'~?

I'm here to announce that we are hosting a beginner tournament for those who picked up the game during the sales. A sort of introduction to the slightly more competitive side of the EU scene, as well as an opportunity to find and befriend a bunch of European players on the same level. The tournament will be streamed by me and commentated by @RexLeRouge and ViVr!

More information here.

As we saw some drawbacks from dividing attention between two lobbies/streams, went with one solid big lobby this time.
Seems it worked well enough, considering activity in both players and viewers going for an hour longer than planned!

GGs to all players and thanks to everyone who dropped in to watch and chat. It was an intense 4h, whew. See you next week!

Hitbox divided this into 10 parts or something so I uploaded it to youtube instead

Hi everyone.

Some of you may have already received a PM from me, but I thought I'd introduce myself on here too. I'm new to Skullgirls and really keen on finding people to play with. I've got some fighting game experience with SF4, 3rd Strike and MKX, although I have dropped the first two since MKX's launch. I've found Skullgirls immensely enjoyable so far, really appreciating the depth of the system mechanics, GGPO implementation, and the fact that solid fighting game fundamentals are rewarded in the neutral game (hit confirms in MKX are next to impossible online with the input delay, and anti-airs are very weak).

If you're looking for a match, add me on Steam (or if for whatever reason you can't find me, let me know and I'll add you). I'm not a salty person, and I lose gracefully. I'd just really appreciate the opportunity to play.

As for your streaming content and tournaments, colour me interested. In reference to your quoted section in the opening comment, if anybody would like to do a coaching video series similar to videos on CrossCounter, I'd be up for being the student and having my flaws exposed to the world. I've found watching videos like that to have helped me get into SF4, maybe it will help grow this scene by showing to beginners that Skullgirls isn't as intimidating as it might seem.

(I am also in an MKX clan and trying to convince the guys to pick up SG. Hopefully I can show them the way!)

Welcome!

I'll add you on steam when I come back from work. Don't hesitate to jump on the steam group chat, as it's often filled with cool people looking for a rumble.

Also, I see you are from England, so you should definitely check this: http://skullheart.com/index.php?thr...lly-skullgirls-this-time-edition-london.8135/

As far as teaching goes, Mr Peck holds a weekly commentated stream on thursdays to showcase FTs between players of the community.

Should be no problem for you to join, and watch the replay afterward to see what input you can get out of it.

Friday evening is open (streamed, if possible) lobby. Just jump on the chat from 7PM.

Sunday evening is Skullbats.

Which I defintely recommend trying out, since you get to fight 7 opponents.
So, lot's of valuable experience.

Since it seems like you play solo Bella, I'd definitely recommend checking @dragonos451 's stuff.
He can be found on the steam group chat as well.
Only if you enjoy wearing leather and getting your nipples pinched, though.
If you want a softer teacher who also play this disgusting amazing character, other Bella players will be delighted to teach you how to mash dynamo Bella.

That stream is supposed to be for experienced/strong competitive players. If it seems like we're running sets between players who don't fit that description, it's because there weren't enough better players who were free that week.

But everything else still applies. Welcome, good luck getting better, feel free to join the steam group chat and talk to people if you ever need advice. Everyone's friendly and helpful and stuff. Have fun!

Thanks everyone. I'll try and get online later. Promised a few people some matches first.

Tonight's archived stream can be found here. Three and half hour, whew. Was a blast!

Also, check out the weird dislocated wheel on Painwheel (technically Double) here. Hitboxes were normal, though.
