WELCOME!
This thread will be like @Stonechimes' clever Comics thread, but dumber. And drawn worse.
Why am I doing this?
It combines my love of Skullgirls with drawing. It is a good excuse to practice and get feedback (if something looks bad, please say so!). You see, if I could describe my art in one word, it would be "mimicry." I can sit down and draw anything (a leafless tree, skyline, a portrait, or whatever) as a photorealistic imitation. But I lack the confidence to draw something without reference. I rely too much on mimicking other things. I'm envious of a cartoonist's spontaneous style. For instance, check out the uber talented @chickenwithtie 's thread Drawing Skullgirls is a metaphor for a great example of transforming designs into personal aesthetics for spectacular results. Stonechimes also remolds the characters into a personal style in the aforementioned Comics thread. And conversely, does an excellent job of matching the game's style: remember that terrifyingly amazing entry to the Eliza costume contest? Still gives me chills!
Comics?
Okay, okay. Enough fruitless name-dropping and self-deprecating humor! Bring out the comics!
Hopefully someone got the emo "I want to die" Space Dandy reference
Since these comics are the equivalent to a runner's warm-up stretches before a jog, expect them to appear between projects (i.e. published irregularly). Requests and ideas for future comics are fine too.
