I think it's best if all users have names that are able to be tagged and searched for easily.
[PME] got changed to PME for example.
Full Japanese text will be impossible to find (even for an administrator) unless you copy paste it.

Yeah, we generally restrict names to stuff you can find on a standard US keyboard. EDIT: Without IME, naturally.
