So I'm enjoying the second game so far (and I keep forgetting to tell you guys how prepared I was for this one with a cool pic of my Mariachi Monokuma plush that I got at Comic Con), but I gotta say I hate how Bulle- I mean Panic Talk Actions are now. I have to hold the buttons now? Wait, that's not working too well either. Wtf? I'm in chapter freaking 3 and I can barely hold my combos while in the first game I could complete the BTBs without needing to use my concentration bar or missing a beat. Now I feel like I'm being forced to use Fever Time. I'm clearly misunderstanding how it works now or I just suck at it now. The finishing blow sometimes throws me off too. I swear I put in the right one for ch 3 but apparently I was wrong and killed myself twice. It does make more sense how the finishing blow, I just suck at putting the words in the right order.
And the Improved Hangman's Gambit is kinda a love/hate thing. Still has the same problem of waiting for the right letters to show up but usually the wait isn't bad. Plus it doesn't feel like I can steamroll right through it. My biggest problem is how some letters can spawn really close to each other and then hurt me before I can do anything; that's not raising the difficulty, that's annoying.
Logic Dives: eh, I don't hate it. It just feels out of place.
Rebuttal Showdowns: I really like them, they add conflict and make it feel like you're arguing with the characters voicing their arguments. Plus it gives everyone a chance to shine when they would otherwise be standing around contributing nothing.
And uh, I like how you can now agree with people during Nonstop Debates.
