Is it because that game sucked harder than a mosquito?
 
Sonic 06 is the only mainline Sonic game I haven't played. It's on my bucket list though.

say what you will about sonic 06, but that was my first sonic game, so I have a lot of nostalgia about it :(
 
How sad. My first video games period were a 4-pack of Sega Smash Pack 2, Sonic CD, Sonic R, and Sonic and Knuckles Collection.

You can be nostalgic about, and even enjoy, a bad game.

But to say it's good, or even passable, isn't right. It's really bad.

I had that for the computer. Good times.


Though I am ashamed that I never got past the second zone for any of the Sonic games back then.
 
I had Sonic 1, 2, 3 and S&K back when we still had a Genesis and also had a CD of the PC version of S&K, but I just couldn't get anywhere with Sonic 2. Fucking Chemical Plant Zone Act 2.

Also unpopular opinion incoming but: Sonic Adventure 2 is a really good fucking game. The ONLY thing bad about the gameplay are the Tails/Eggman sections, everything else is gold.

I preferred the tails/egg man segments to knuckles/rouge segments. At least those were guided where as with the knuckles/rouge ones you'd be wondering about looking for emerald pieces for minutes with no progress. Those just felt pointless.
 
I remember when I was young (probably 5-8) , I had some difficulty beating final boss since I did not realize you could jump above the claws and hit him at the right time when he standing straight. When I was finally able to get all the chaos emeralds for the first time ever in one playthrough, the sudden noise from the transformation scared me and I thought that was a glitch. -_-
 
Well, my first Sonic game was Sonic Adventure. Afterwards, I played Adventure 2, Heroes, Sonic Advance 3, Sonic Rush, Secret Rings, and finally the Mega Collection. All fun games, though I didn't enjoy Secret Rings as much as the others. It was okay, in my opinion.
 
I know I'm late to the conversation,but,whether or not it's Sonic Boom or Sonic in general,I just like to stay neutral to it.I'm the kinda person in the fanbase who's gonna have to play to see.I know that didn't make much sense,but,I meant I'm gonna have to get the game and play it to see if I like it.(When I do get a Wii U)As for Boom's gameplay,I kinda like the Enerbeam mechanic.I actually don't mind that mechanic.Now,I've see the way Sonic runs when you get to that factory/jungle/swamp place.(Sorry I dunno what it is.)And the feel of the jungle swamp factory and seeing the way Sonic runs in that kinda place,I got major Alice:Madness Returns vibes from that.Or I'm just crazy.

I like these NPC character design. I just don't think about the Sonic universe I was used to see as this is a different universe.
Honestly, if it wasn't about the major character design change on Sonic and Knuckles, I would be excited by the game and the series, because overall it looks good.

...I just can't accept to see Sonic this tall with blue arms :/

I've seen some hate towards them because they're following SatAM's route of having mostly animal characters.

Those characters were only bad because of bad writing and plotting.

Yes. He's owned by Archie (or was, at the very least), and they excised most of the original characters from canon after the Mega Man crossover.

Yea, I know. It was Penders's fault in the first place, if he hadn't decided to fuck it up maybe I would still have Elias and Shard.

Elise is pretty bad, but she's only in the game for a total of what, 2 hours?

CHRIS IS EVERYWHERE. CHRIS RUINED THE ENTIRE SHOW. ALL 5-6 SEASONS OF IT.

Agreed, and don't forget about the Sonic X comic as well. He was in every issue and (if I recall correctly) barely added any thing to the plot of those. Hell, I prefer the background characters from the earlier Sonic shows though AoStH holds a special place in my heart for being my introduction to the blue hedgehog.
 
Chris is literally the worst thing, ever.
