Huh. I think I may have rode a train right past there on my way to Basilica di San Nicola, back in... 2004? I was bumming around Naples at the time, and was told I absolutely had to see it.

Anyway, I like this piece. I always like the kind of, how do you say, rustic feel of the old country? Many European countries have these super cool pockets of the population that have settled into this sort of symbiotic relationship with the land. They still exercise dominion over the Earth, but they embrace the idea that they're part of it, too. It's not exploitative. I always like that, you know? The idea that you can have power over something, but love and protect it, and accept that it has some power over you, too. Germany had a stronger culture of environmentalism, but Italy felt a lot like that, also, once you got out into the heart of the country, out at the port towns and farm communities.

What was I talking about, again? Oh, right. This reminds me of Italy. I like it.

A fork with the spoon is the most efficient way, then don't use either fork or spoon if you have some sauce on the plate... Doing the "scarpetta" with bread is the best.
