Eliza Setups and Tech Thread!

Oh jeez, when I saw a Setups and Strategy thread for a Skullgirls character, I thought it was going to be a joke. Good thing it wasn't.

launch, j.hp, adc, j.lp, crosses under

you can do IAD, j.hp, to get a double cross after
 
Here's a thing that works on most of the characters when you're next to your opponent

instant air backdash j.lk, j.hp

Doesn't work on Painwheel, often misses on Peacock, works on Valentine only when ground dashing into the corner beforehand.

Don't go crying to Mike Z asking why these things won't work in later updates due to changed hitboxes cause I'm not going to bother the man personally.

 
Not only hitboxes, but the grab will be like Val's Air Bypass. You can't take any action until you land.
 
Just something I came up with this morning, not sure how useful they are/will be but the st.mp and their follow ups lead into some interesting reset points and stuff so....yeah, video.

 
j.LK IOH after the patch does NOT work on:

Filia/Fukua
Valentine
Cerebella

Kinda sad about it not working on Valentine.

I'm trying to figure out the point of Scythe Spin other than using the HK one as a sort of close range doom rocks assist.
 
jLK instant overhead still works on filia, whatcha mean tomo?
What range?

Also "still"? It only worked on BB before the recent patch.

could someone please make a list of combos for newbies short easy combos but damaging in the list could you involve an air combo and a cross up along with 3 other combos

Oh yeah forgot to shove this onto here. Here's what Mike had to say about the bait:
If you backdash cancel it it'll be a valid burst bait regardless of whether you can hit her leg or not.
(so here is to me hoping the air Hp doesn't have it's hitbox changed too much.)

Um, nope? Unless I'm REALLY missing something, Fillia is crouching under j.LK from any range, as are about 1/3 of the cast.

Cool reset:

HpDP, jump cancel, j.mk, adc, j.mk, air L transformation to sekhmet, delayed hp.
 
That's a safe burst, since it still hits Sekhmet's hurtbox. Unless there's a different rule for Sekhmet, a burst is safe if it hits the any opposing hurtbox, including armor, assists, and maybe invincible frames too?

This is the stuff we need with Sekhmet. Lots of micro resets to make the most of the meter.
 
in a sekhmet vs sekhmet situation what does the most damage? HP?

Those look pretty legit, the middle one especially if you can get that re-crossunder option down.
 

Only tried this on squigly so might not work on taller or heavier characters

Btw, one air reset I didn't post was

Ground chain, c.HP, instant nj.HP ADC j.Throw

In order for the ADC to position properly, you have to neutral jump after launch. Otherwise, use the air throw setup I posted. Was really fun discovering that, and the followup :3
 

I think by herself these mixups aren't too flash, since you'll probably lose pressure if you don't hit on the first try, but being able to do a 50/50 that beats reversals as pretty nice anyway.

The real nasty stuff is with assists. You can't call during sekhmet attacks, but depending on the assist you have time to create some seriously ambiguous crossups and then either recall to eliza or go for more with the assist lockdown. Kanchou assist + sekhmet recall is pretty hilarious (if a little impractical) since you can both noclip through the opponent.
