That actually makes me pretty happy. I think I can go into this more enthusiastically now.
I'm the kind of person who doesn't mind skipping over flaws if there's something worth experiencing in a game. I'll play a game with shitty story/music/aesthetics if the gameplay is really great, and I'll play a game with mediocre gameplay if the story/aesthetic/music is really good (assuming playing it is necessary to experiencing the story properly, otherwise I'd just watch a longplay on Youtube).
If the supports and characters are mostly well written and the overall plot is fine, I don't mind just ignoring the parts that are stupid. Gameplay being good is kind of a given. Kind of a shame their adding something dumb to an otherwise good experience, but eh, whatcha gonna do.
I suppose that's true, the gameplay just seems to get more and more promising.
That's really the only reason I'm giving this game a chance. If this wasn't a series that I basically always know while be fantastic in the gameplay department, I wouldn't bother with the stupid stuff they're going to make me have to put up with.
Anyways, yeah, imagine the Awakening supports but done really well. The writing is much more natural and it's a bit more consequential.
I have a feeling it's still going to have a few really, really bad ones, though. Camilla's for instance, again.
So, I suppose I'll ask this again, since so much more has been revealed about each route: which one are you going to buy?
Turns out the E-shop download isn't going to be the both-routes version people were expecting, it's still got the choice.
I think I'll actually settle for Nohr now. While Hoshido's story seems to be a bit more intense, Hoshido kills off a few characters I really wanted, including who I wanted to marry, and I like the Nohr gameplay a bit more.
I know I'll end up buying both, though.
