Fukua Story Discussion

Sorry for the double post, but at the end of the credits there are additional credits listed as DLC credits

Fukua actually IS Filia. Filia doesn't know her past, but we know she's Medici from Squigglys story - it's entirely possible that she was a medici sniper who conked her head/was a guest at the Squiggly family massacre, lost her memories and became one with Samsom.
Fukua is a melee and marksman - Samson and Filia. Time spent together and not dying has eventually caused physical changes to both Filia and Samsom, bringing them more and more alike, until eventually the two were identical in spirit.
The reason Fukua exists independently of the other is because Aeon brought back Fukua from the future because there was nothing left for either of them to do - thus, Fukua and Filia exist as seperate characters, with Fukua wanting to re-become her naieve self to forget centuries of everything. This explains her lackdasial response to victory and the whole 'fuck this I'm out' victory poses.
Except for that bit where Filia is 16 and Squigly died 14 years prior to the start of the game's "timeline", plus the fact that parasites don't naturally/always give hosts any kind of prolonged lifespan.

I guess it is to counterbalance Ben's story full of sweetness.

Geez, Fukua seems to be such a crazy mixed-up bag of emotions. Some of her lines make her look like a sad, forlorn character who doesn't even really enjoy fighting ("I thought you were done for!"), while her body language in some of her attacks makes her look self-confident, sassy, even ("We're gonna get you~"). Her lose lines with the echo began to make her lean back towards forlorn again, and now with the addition of this story mode, we're getting sadistic, downright crazy, even. She did rip Filia's face off...

Can Lab Zero just not agree on how to depict her?

Why did they buff the stats of the character whose AI I already have the hardest time with to oblivion...why...

Also, mini-confession: on my first go-through, I died more to Big Band than I did to Marie.

Well, sudden and massive mood swings can get people labeled as crazy. But ripping off someone's face to wear it like a balaclava? DEFINITELY a crezzy gurl.

Same here.
For some reason, Big Band's AI was a lot higher than most of the cast. I could barely do anything at first.

Fukua doesn't want to be Filia, Fukua wants to be like Filia, like Bizarro wants to be a superhero like Superman and lives in his own world, in that world Fukua have friends like Annie and Umbrella.

I think we took this way too far...
The ending shows Filia'ss face being placed as a mask on to Fukua's face, this just might be a hint that she can controll Filia's behaivior, that Fukua exists on Filia's dreams and sometimes her personality (and moveset) change depending on who is in control..

Her story mode is not cannon anyway.

(Warning: There will probably be spoilers here)

I can't stop thinking "Crap, when did Fukua get all this?"

In general, I like how the recent story modes add interesting little mechanics like Fukua's final boss. Also, it looks like she fought every character in reverse order of release. It starts with the DLC characters, goes on to the main cast and ends with Cerebella and Filia.

It was cool seeing that, and each characters' home stage. Now I'm just wondering if Eliza/Beowulf/Robo-fortune will get added.
 
I just wanted to say something about the ending (nitpicky though):
Filia has a house complete with a bathroom and bedroom? I thought she was a hobo :PUN:! Considering how she doesn't know where her parents are or where she lives.

And yes, I know it doesn't and feels like a nitpick, but still I found it something to note. Fukua's story isn't canon, but neither is anyone else's.

But the art was really well done, kudos to that guy for making her a story. :)

Who's to say she isn't staying at the house of one of Samson's many "friends"?

At first I didn't understand why Fukua fought the everyone in the order that she did (I was especially confused that Marie was the 3rd she fought). But I get it now. She fights the entire cast in order starting from the most-recently added.

Remember that according to the made-up story she's two people, so it would make sense to act pretty differently.

Also y'know she's got whatever we had and whatever we wanted to give her, for the non-story validation.
