Current Events Furious Frame Fracas: Fukua Fixes!

Go Home And Be A Family Man!

In a magnanimous and demigod-like display of giving, Fukua has received her first original frames of animation, completed solely by Skullheart member Skullmageddon (of Annie fame). Adding more unpaid hours to a total that has long passed being accurately tracked, Mike Z implemented the new frames of animation into Fukua's, "Inevitable Snuggle," command throw, eliminating the awkward freeze-frame that previously occupied that move's space.[prebreak]Fukua'ing Incredible![/prebreak]

Small potatoes, you say? Well, if you did say that, you're an idiot, because Skullmageddon will be working on even more frames of animation for numerous parts of Fukua's move list, adding that special, loving touch that will cement the new character as a fully-featured, fully-animated addition to the game. The amount of work actually done will come down to what Mike Z wants, and what Skullmageddon is willing to work on, but all indications point to more animations being drawn to un-jankify some of Fukua's rougher edges.

All of this adds satisfying punctuation to the announcement made only days ago that Fukua would be staying as a permanent character. Take the time to reflect on this April miracle: Skullmageddon and Mike Z donate their time to make Fukua more than just a joke. They'll make her... a real girl.

Cherish it.

THIS SENTIMENT COMES DIRECTLY FROM MIKE Z said:
EDITOR'S NOTE: This does not in any way make Fukua's development an open, democratic process. DO NOT tell Mike Z what he should implement, and DO NOT tell Skullmageddon what he should animate. Send them a basket of smoked meats, send them flowers, send them a thank you note, but DO NOT bombard them with suggestions as to how they should work on Fukua. They've got a plan, and they're gonna work it. Disobey this at your own peril, people.

Thanks for what you've done so far Skullmageddon. Great work so far and I can't wait to see what else you've got in store for Fukua.

Okay skullmageddon you are just the most amazing Skullgirls fan to date X3

Great work and dedication Skullmageddon, I hope Fukua is retained for SG2 so we can see her in contrast to Samson (who would perhaps logically replace Filia in the Character roster)

I know this is going to sound beyond stupid, and I sincerely apologize if I come off as ruuuuuude, but is anyone else getting the feeling that the new animations for Inevitable Snuggle feel... how do I put it... too smooth? I dunno, it just looks way more fluid than anything else in the game, currently.
But yeah, thanks for helping iron out Fukua's rough patches. I'm already loving playing as her, and I can't wait to see what's next.

It's really funny that you mention that actually. I had originally over-animated the inbetweens by WAY too much. I actually had to cut 11 frames out of the animation to get what you see in game :P

I learned a lot when doing those simple inbetweens actually. The game is a decent bit more conservative with frames that I thought it was, which just goes to show how good they are at conveying movement and action while being conservative with their frames.

im shocked. wow.. just wow. im smiling from ear to ear haha. although some stupid stuff happens in the community, we always seem to contribute when the time comes. Damn it gets me happy to see shit like this. Thank you @Skullmageddon, you just made my day.

Check if you can post the full, uncut inbetweens and the new ones! I'd be interested in seeing them.

Oh my goodness! Talk about much welcome update for Fukua~!

More honor to Skullgirls, and Salt to that other clone. :PUN:
