Help using a 360 controller on Ps3

I've got this same exact problem and I use that same exact Mayflash adapter and that shit is -ASS-, all my diagonals are deadzoned into a tiny little range that gets skipped and it's absolutely terrible, my inputs get stuffed on tourney matches on PS3 and the last loss left me pretty salty because to make sure I had a button check before the match in training mode and it left me with a bit of despair when I saw it over also feeling it for myself.

Gonna try and do something, since personally, I find the 360's joysticks and the overall controller feel to be almost perfect, and super comfy. I gotta get back in the game myself and I can't do it with that adapter, not with another controller, and not with another character. So way I figure it, it'll benefit you and I both, Sage, and anyone else interested, if I can get the tools and then the materials to do the mod work, amongst a few other things. The job: gutting a ps3 controller to wire and solder it up within a 360 pad to be PS3 native. And fortunately, someone already did it so I got my work a plenty more cut out for me on planning and testing.

(4x) 3mm round T1 LEDs, find them at Digikey or Mousers... (...$2-$4?)
(x11) 6mm tact switches - For the main buttons. Digi-Key part # EG2495-ND, Mouser part # 688-SKHHAQ
(x2) 4.5mm tact switches - For the L1 and R1 shoulder buttons. Digi-Key part # CKN9018-ND, Mouser part # 688-SKHRAH
(x4) size 3 screws, 1/2-inch long - For securing the case back together. You could use the existing security screws but they're a pain.

PowerA's Pro Ex PS3 Controller is great. Also Mayflash adapter is complete ass, just to reinstate that, and you should never use it. Or any "plug'n play" adapter for that matter. That's a terrible idea and the controllers won't ever be 1:1 native.

Having had a surprise at the local tourney last week and a experience with the Power A Pro (Ex) Controller for the PS3 (Heeyyyy, shoutouts to KCSRK's "Chef". Thank you, man!), I can vouch for it.

And as it happens... it's really friggin' cheap nowadays. It's like, it's discounted down to $15 at Walmart as I checked online. It's normally like a $30-$50 controller, if you check around other places (i.e. manufacturer, and Amazon)

I haven't had EXTENSIVE use and play with it, so I can't say how it would wear and tear but it really feels like a fantastic controller, the owning fighter had said he's had it for awhile, and absolutely worth dropping the money on. It's worth checking out. I think the controller is worth it too, it IS nice and definitely feels as close to a 360 controller as a copycat can get, except a bit better tbh.
