...what?
...what?
Yep! We're planning to make small sections, to test monsters and party members and abilities, for backers. It won't be the prototype.
Well, it's also not fair to say when something is taking too long without a real perspective on what the team is doing. Wayforward's definitely bigger than L0, but they're still not AAA huge, and some of their staff probably have to bounce between multiple projects during the time they're working on a Shantae game. I imagine clients like Disney and Cartoon Network get extremely picky with feedback too, so even finishing a dinky puzzle game on the side might have distracted some members of the HGH team enough to set them back by a few weeks. We just don't know.
To be completely fair:
So am I. :^P
Will any of the secrets/surprises/tactics of the game be findable in those betas, or will they be strictly to test functionality/fun? I'm really excited for this game, so I want to go in to the main game fresh. I don't want to have tricks or hints or anything from the beta to prepare me. Will I be fine, or should I maybe skip the betas?
Well, for whatever upgrades we give you, how they work will be findable... They won't be all the upgrades, but it's still a portion of the real game.
If you don't want to know things, then I'd skip it. I mean it won't be plot spoilers but it will be used for fine-tuning her movement and stuff, so you will be moving around and learning to move around. It's not just going to be run/jump/attack.
Beta will be different from the prototype, yeah. I don't know whether it'd be just like an area that lets you go to different settings, or what, though. I'm pretty sure we'd just expand on the initial one, that's easier. We can replace the executable with each patch, but not having to build a start area and stuff each time would help.okay thanks for that Mike. I too was wondering that. So that means every beta update will have a different sections for Ajna to explore and try out the different mechanics in or would you just add onto the base of the first beta and expand from there? Because I think I remember you saying that the Beta will be a different section from the Proto-Type.
A hub room ala Mega Man boss rush? Something like that?Beta will be different from the prototype, yeah. That'd be good, mainly to see the progress. Hell I'd be fine with a small video of updates >w<Beta will be different from the prototype, yeah. Yes.
Um. If you get the tier where you get a digital copy, you get a digital copy. One. On one platform. (Promo keys cost money on most platforms, so we can't just give out multiple of them.)
Uh i'm not sure. I think you will only get the Beta if you go for the PC full release to keep things simplified for everyone who is getting the game/beta on the different consoles.
Oh, that. That was very unclear.
We answered this a lot. :^P Physical release is PS4, XBox, and PC-DRM-free. Steam cannot be physical, obviously.
Yes. Later.
Two weeks.
Yep. Considering those still-just-rumors don't cover anything important, like RAM...let's just say a lot of that info kinda...smells...
You realize that even porting between the PS4 and XBone is not incredibly simple, right?
I appreciate it, but the possibility doesn't change until the system exists and real information can be had.
Soon(tm).
That's what I wanted to hear.
