I'm dime_x but I tend to go by dime both online and in person when meeting fellow fgcers. I guess I tend to be a bit of a know it all, but its for a good cause... Namely the advancement of myself and others as far as play ability goes in whatever fighter I am playing at that time. I consider fighting games to be my hobby and I take them relatively seriously.
I tend towards bluntness and some would say arrogance which has made me none to popular, especially with intermediate players and below, like the art and lore people. But make no mistake. I am a nice person. I Just wont agree with you simply cause of who you are or what you've accomplished in the past. I treat everyone equally and love fighting games and the extended fighting game community cause it is where I've met my best friends that have stayed friends through the years. I've been playing fighting games since sf2 came out in the arcades and have a relatively good knowledge of them, I grew up in so cal and have since moved to Australia.
I love skullgirls for many different reasons such as the crazy throw game, the somewhat long combos, the original pacing and style of neutral game, the open development process, the custom assists, the huge amount of possible characters, the creative ideas that go into the game, the capcom feel of the characters movement and normals, the fact that this is a ggpo enabled game which allows me to play from the comfort of home without having to leave my family for long periods of time like I would if I had to go to meetups or an arcade... And finally I like the struggle that skullgirls provides... It is challenging to me without being frustrating.
There are some things I don't like, like reversal assists giving such easy combo on hit, and the way pbgc is implemented, but those are things I can live with. No game is perfect, they are all usually a huge combination of opinions of what is good to put in and what isn't.
As far as player strength goes, with the top 8 at evo being 9.5 in strength. I would consider myself about a 6.5 maybe a 7... Good enough to give a challenge, but generally outclassed by the best. A lower level expert or a higher level intermediate.
Good to meet you. I hope your stay at skullheart is an entertaining and fulfilling one :)
