Episode 22 was okay. I just hate Ryuko doing things she shouldn't be able to because "main character OP lololol."

Like, she literally ripped what was essentially her skin off, but nope, she's just fine. And then Nui puts a needle through her neck, but once again, just because Ryuko is Ryuko she just teleports behind her and manages to cut off her arms and pretend like the previous never happened. Okay show, whatever you say.

Also ABOUT DAMN TIME Mako put on her 2 star again, she looks awesome in that outfit.

Remember, Ryuko is a life-fiber baby, the just heal and fuck you up again, unless they're cut by the scissor swords
 
One of my favorite parts of this episode was how Hououmaru calmly told Nui off for getting her arms cut off while Nui's blood is geysering onto her face. 'Twas deeply satisfying to see Nui completely lose her shit. Also, man, this episode's animation was a little iffy. I hope the finale will be like Gurren Lagann's 40% finale, at least in the animation department.

My friend just made me watch the first episode of Kill la Kill and I was automatically hooked.. Then he jumps right to episode 22.

Yeah I'm betting they spent less money on this episode so they can spend more on the finale. Trigger, like a shonen protagonist, must spend an episode charging up power for their ultimate final attack.

This show has 24. There's gonna be one more after that but as Zazz said, it's gonna be an OVA. It won't tie to the main story though

I'm not a veteran Anime fan, but what's so strange about 24 episodes? Durarara, Welcome to NHK, Golden Time (Which is ending the same day as Kill La Kill), Lucky Star, etc were 24 episodes each. Then again, if it was 20 episodes, like Nisekoi, then it would've been a rare number.
 
I thought 24 episodes was the normal amount for a season...that's when they change the openings and everything.
