So how's everyone going to feel when that back silhouette turns out to be Rock?
 
a bit pissed.
we already got his two dads in the game, we don't need him.
plus, I'd argue that there's more people who are more vocal about Vanessa and possibly Shingo coming back.
I mean, we need a good boxer in this game dammit!
not some Buriki copy paste character!
 
I just want Marie back. Its a simple thing and yet its never going to happen Q_Q

Yamazaki lost the knife, whip lost the gun... Vanessa will lose the gloves and rock will be fireless like shingo.


Still, a Terry/Geese/Rock team looks solid enough

I'm not even saying nobody wants him.
I AM saying that we already have his two dads, and it'd be kind of a waste of a unique character slot to just have a hybrid of two characters.
I'm not even a big fan of Shingo and I'd rather have him just so we could have another unique character.
this isn't even like the Kyokugen characters, they all play uniquely to themselves but share similarities in their styles.
 
tl:dr

I think Rock is overrated and would rather see other characters.
 
He hasn't been in a game since Maximum Impact Regulation A/Maximum Impact 2 and that was nearly 10 years ago.

How is he overrated when he's been absent for almost a decade?
 
he's not as cool as his two dads.

both characters aren't as cool as the two dads they have.

and I'm not saying he can't be in any games (Maximum Impact is not really considered mainline canon)
I just would rather have other characters.
 
I know it's not story canon, but it is the last time he was officially playable in a KOF game.

The only other character I will take in his absence is Vanessa.

So being a dad is yamazaki's character trait? Last i checked that was just something he was. It doesn't really play to the character we see on screen 99% of the time. Using that as a reason to dislike his inclusion feels...forced to say the least

sounds like his new VA is Atsushi Imaruoka, by my ears

what inspired casting, such a reserved and soft-spoken actor for Yamazaki
 
I'm gonna miss Koji's Yamazaki so much. Just the sound of his laugh always brought tears to my eyes.
 
How come i only see this topic now ? I love KoF (even tho i suck at it)

I'm so glad they put Yamazaki back, he looks gorgeous in it, i don't mind the VA change i mean a bunch of characters got new actors and they're all pretty good to me. Loving Whip too.

And oooh is this legit ?? Oh my god if they put Vanessa back i'll be soooo happy, she's one of my faves

do you guys think it will top the cinematic masterpiece that is The King of Fighters live-action movie with clearly the most true and perfect interpretations of Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui, and Kyo Kusanagi?
