There will almost certainly be at least one more so you can have a Vampire pair. Also, Capcom has said they're bringing back franchies and featuring old characters in this game, so Vampire seems pretty obvious.
Fixed.

I'll take "answering my own question" for 300, alex
I don't know if I'd call Capcom's treatment of Street Fighter "support."
Patching the game, releasing new content and putting money into the tournament scene is support regardless of how you feel about the quality of these efforts or the game itself.
I'm curious what makes you say that. While Capcom's execution of it is starting to sound like it will be heavily flawed (which seems to be their motto now), I think the idea behind it is actually quite a good one.
I completely understand the logic behind observing for a long period of time before making any changes, it makes sure you get a better idea of the entire picture instead of making changes based on immediate reactions, I can appreciate that. However from the results we are currently seeing, (which is not a comprehensive list) a lot of them feel like knee-jerk reactions, some are straight up baffling and a few even appear to be going in the wrong direction.
Waiting to see how the meta develops makes perfect sense when the game is polished and stable enough. But when they rushed an unfinished product out the door, it's a terrible reason to delay major problems that sorely need fixing. Like, you're gonna cite CPT as the reason why you're leaving 8f in? Hotfix that shit now, only once the game is in a good place should you freeze it.
And then after all this time when you look at what they're finally doing for season 2, it's even stupider. No more DPs as part of their ongoing quest to homogenize the cast and make sure nobody can have tools, good lord.
pretty sure everyone saying they should prioritize other IPs over SF for capcom characters knows it's wishful thinking, but that said I have been thinking about something the past few days. it should go without saying that even if capcom HADN'T come out and explicitly said they want the game to be newcomer friendly, it would be safe to assume that character selection would be targeted at the casual audience; if its anything like past mvc games there will be 10-15 playable characters and 25-30+ or so fanservice characters, so most of the characters will be less about bringing back IPs or whatever and more about "what characters will casuals buy our game for so they can play as". Given what a spectacular failure SF5 has been outside the competitive fighting game audience, I do wonder if there will be fewer SF characters this time around than before. At the very least I would actually be somewhat surprised to see a SFV newcomer in MVCI but we'll see.
I highly doubt this is true, and probably won't unless I see a pretty explicit quote on it from the developers, but if it is: my rage burns with the fury of a thousand suns.
thanks
Held back for DLC?
noooooooooooooo
mixed stages have so much possibility of looking muddy and messy. Just give me plain old stages from BOTH worlds to play in. It's simple and easier to do and it still makes the player feel like they are playing in a cross over title.
Why spend extra time and work to make a stage that is a fusion of two worlds/stages only to have a hugely increased chance of it not looking good and having it possibly blend in with the action in the foreground.
yeah on paper it sounds super cool that they want to explain why the worlds are coming together but really... no gives a shit. Big Bad Boss guy rips hole in both universes and how people are fighting. BOOM that's all you need to do.
also Marvel's stories as of late have been shit, so i don't to subjugate myself to hearing a long winded shitty story for the characters, i just want Marvel vs Capcom. end deal.
