USA New England thread - Not UK

Hmm does Saturday work for people or is everyone doing family stuff?

I'm working 7pm to 12 am saturday in Warwick RI, not realistic for me even if it's earlier.

And I'm working Friday night too
 
Hmm, I guess timing might just not be right for people? We could always do it another week.
 
Yeah sorry :( We at least have the December 10th monthly!

Also, the Friday AFTER the monthly I'd like to go up for fight night. Anyone else down? @Natezer @Zidiane
 
I'm probably interested in that, but not sure. I think I need to go to NEC for a thing. Not for fun, for work stuff. I'll let you know closer to the date.
 
Oh yeah, the NJQR. Thanks @Deer for reminding me. Revo has sort of revitalized my drive to practice in this game so I want to go to that. Anyone else interested?

I don't know what that is and google just brings up smash stuff. Care to fill me in?

Edit: I didn't realize NEC is the week after the monthly, I'm going to try to go to that!

Edit 2: I don't see SG listed anywhere for NEC. So maybe not. lol. Is there an SG tournament at NEC this year?
 
nec is dead for skullgirls now sry

njqr is a regional-kind-of tournament for tristate/mdva/NY for sf5/smash/sg, new england has gone down a couple times
 
Yeah what Pickles said. It was a fun tournament the last time we went.

NEC is out for me just because I'm out of vacation time at work. London took a lot out of me.
 
I'm still not finding any information except challonge brackets and youtube videos when google searching.

When/where is NJQR? How much does it cost to enter? How many days?

Hey folks. I had a chance to talk to Dan "Lucky D "Fortunate Daniel "The Fortunate One""" last night about the upcoming Game Underground monthly. Skullgirls will have 3 setups and those setups will be dedicated to Skullgirls for the whole day, and we will guaranteed have at least top 3 of our tournament on stream. Dan also wanted to do something special for Skullgirls at this monthly, I threw out Typing Of The Skullgirls as a possibility and he liked the idea. Now I am throwing it out HERE as a possibility. If we had a dedicated setup to Typing Of The Skullgirls, how many people would be interested in that? I had a 2v2 setup in mind (one player and one typer per team).

That's the plan. I would either do 1v1 or 2v2 teams depending on how many people were interested. I think it's worth doing 2v2 if we can get at least 4 teams.

2v2 sounds like fun! I am a shit tier typer so rip to whoever gets me on their team :^)

i mean i haven't played in a typing of the skullgirls tournament but i was under the impression that one guy types and one guy plays so you could just be the not-typer

i'd be up for this probably, never done typing of the (skullgirls/dead/anything) before but i am trained in the art of mavis beacon so should be fun

Yeah you're exactly right, the idea is you have teams of one player and one typer. Also I did not know you were going this time, that's exciting!

u think im gonna miss the first GU monthly since icky's return? HELL no

(in all seriousness i can't say im 100% confirmed yet but i definitely am trying hard to go, if i can make it it'll be my first offline GG/BB experience too which'll be fun)

It looks like NJQR is having trouble with the venue and may need to relocate or even cancel. They said they'll update twitter when they have more information, so be sure to follow them @QtrlyRapport

@Icky @Tommer @Zidiane

Nice 3 setups! Idk maybe im just boring and a buzzkill but I'm not huge on SG typing. If everyone else is though then I'm find w/ it so its all good.
 
It'll be four if we count the deer setup you invented.
