After thousands of years of purgatory, Skullheart is back, and with it, the New England thread. Post in here if you're from Massachusetts/Rhode Island/Vermont/New Hampshire/Connecticut/Maine and you're looking to play Skullgirls.

The main meetup spot in Massachusetts is Game Underground, located at the Natick Mall in Natick, MA. We meet every Friday and play from around 7pm to around 1am. If you can make it out, we'd love to have you :D

We have a a good amount of SG people coming to GU every week, usually with two PC Setups. It'd be awesome if more people wanted to show up :D
 
Thanks to everyone who came out to Game Underground last night. First time we tried streaming our casuals, it actually went pretty well. For next week I'm going to try to figure out how to have a second mic, and maybe better looking player names.

Last night was the most fun I've had at GU so far, and GU has been the highlight of my week, every week since I started going :D

Dude, this was so much fun. I am so terrified of Alex, pretty soon I won't be able to take a single round off of him
 
Oh, and by the way I was shocked at how well the mic sounded for the amount of noise at GU and such

This reminds me, I did look into getting a second headset. It seems pretty simple, there's a second microphone port in the back of my computer, so probably you just plug something in there and then you've got two mics. I don't suppose you own a headset? If not that's fine I'll just pick up a second one.
 
I have one, though admittedly its starting to show its age.

Well we could give it a shot. I mostly just want to see if I can get two mics working at all. Once we figure that out we can worry about the quality of the mics being used.

I do have a headset, but only the microphone works on it, the actually headphones broke a while ago. But, if Ceno has one that works it probably makes more sense for him to bring that.

I don't think we really need the headset part.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to more people showing up. It still feels like there are hidden players out there in the area that aren't popping up.

Oh, something I keep forgetting to ask about. @LordCeno was talking about having a name for our casuals, like how the Frootsii guys call their thing "Salty Cupcakes". I'm open to the idea but I'd like to work the name of the venue in there somehow. If someone comes up with something let me know.

I don't think there's anyway to argue against this idea, since it's brilliant! Though one tiny thing I'd suggest is to make it be "The Salt Mine @ Game Underground: Skullgirls Casuals," though that may be too long.

If that is too long we could try "The Salt Mine @ Game Underground: Skullgirls Casuals Squigly Edition Sponsored By Canada Dry The Official Fuel Of Zidiane And Moxie The Official Nightmare Fuel For The Entirety Of The Human Race Except For LordCeno Because He's Obviously Not Human Oh God I Just Though Of The Moxie Logo Please God Help Me"

so how many set ups are there for skullgirls normally at game underground?

There's normally two, but we had three last week (even though one was used for other stuff).
 
Being an hour away kinda blows, but there's at least one player out here on the western side of Mass. Maybe I'll pop in sometime if I can get a friday off.
