I know 2d sprites with 3d backgrounds is nothing new but that Octopath traveler looked really good. And I don't usually like pixel art. Also who's excited for Naga rider in shenmegami tensi...
 
I'm gonna be getting a Switch for ABSOLUTE sure, but maybe not at launch, Launch line-up is decent but I already got a few of dem games.
Need to know if there's Virtual Console first

Yeah they announced it at the start of the Stream. Nintendo Switch will be Region Free and the last of the big 3 to go for a Pay to play with friends online.

How much is it saying for the price, same as the others?
$10 for 1 month, $25 for 3, $60 for a year?
 
If they want to have an optional subscription fee for bonus games and voice lobbies and whatever new features, I'm fine with that existing, I'd just skip it myself because I don't care about any of that. I just want to play my games online, and I'm not paying extra for that after I already paid enough for the console and games. That's the main thing kept me from considering a PS4 all this time, really didn't wanna see Nintendo follow suit too.

$300 for the system. $70 for a controller that has a damn d-pad. Probably around $35-$45 for a Brooks adapter so I can use my stick with Blazblue. And if the subscription fees are priced similar to PSN/XBL, probably ~$60 a year. That's like $410+$60xN and I haven't even bought a single game yet!

Fuck that, I'd much rather just save my money for a trip to Combo Breaker. Maybe someday after more games are out and there's a price drop on both the system and controller, but even then the subscription fees are going to be a very hard sell for me.

Edit: just checked. One NES game or a SNES game for a month. Nintendo just fucking lost me.
 
I though limited demo plays were backwards but that online subscription where the games go away is pretty damn absurd. Good thing I don't care about online multiplayer outside fighting games and From Software stuff.
 
How can Arms be a serious competitive fighter when there's no footsies?

VC better have Gamecube games. Gamecube had a lot of top tier stuff that hasn't been brought to anything modern.

Am I the only one who thinks ARMS motion controls will be annoying? Aside from Mario and Zelda the game lineup isn't really blowing my skirt up...
 
According to Eurogame Gamecube VC is a thing first games are Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion and Melee. If true that's a decent start.

ARMS is confirmed to have normal Button and Joystick option, i think the motion was heavy emphasized for the casual audience
 
IM a HUGE stickler for fighting games, and even I think arms is worth it, plus the motion controls don't need to be exaggerative, slight movements work too.
 
So along with Nintendo making us pay for an online service with no meaningful rewards, they removed Miiverse. And with 3DS and Wii U, it seemed like they were finally moving into the digital age...

Oh and no Streetpass either. They're still clinging to some kind of controller gimmick while cutting out the actually enjoyable social gimmicks of the previous systems...
