[Oct 17, 2015] CEOtaku: Party of the Century 2015 (+ Horror Nights) (Orlando, FL)

Horror Nights is really expensive! Do we go for an awesome backup plan?

I can't attend because of work but my brother is looking for a room to stay in.

Thankfully, the city's way better for tourists than it is for people who live here. There are the obvious theme parks, smaller amusement parks/attractions everywhere (and I mean everywhere, I can name like 10 places off the top of my head within 5 minutes of CEOtaku by car alone), and basically no real nightlife. There are bars down by UCF (nowhere near the venue), some bars near the venue, a lot of stuff at Citywalk (pretty close to the venue), and some clubs downtown (need a car, but 15-45 minutes depending on traffic). If nothing else, you can walk outside the venue and find something to do on I-Drive for a moderate amount of money.

Depending on how old you are, what your budget is, and how crazy the rest of the weekend goes, I'd recommend anything from crashing a karaoke joint to just having all the stragglers over at my place for board games.
 
Does anyone have any room available? I have money of course, my roommates dropped out and I need a place to stay.

I guess I've never ever been to a Jebaily run event so I dunno how he runs it, but it never hurts imo to bring your own (I guess I can only blame own experience with TOs who didn't have setups right). At the very least, a setup would be nice for casuals in someone's room, right?

Jebailey runs the tightest events south of Chicago.

edit: lmao i was gonna axe keninblack to help me run whatever pool i was in but it turns out he's in my pool
 
Pool 1:peanuts, hirokuni
Pool2: toss up between... Socks/seeske, ken and adevis a wild card being akindhobo

Pool3: obvious winner but losers its a toss up between 4 people

Pool 4 looks hilarious shade should be in winners as for losers lilman or vice versa provided khaos cannot unlock his gatekeeping powers
 
Adeveis told me he isn't going ahead of time which is why I didn't seed him when the TO's asked for my opinion on the seeds.
 
pool 1: peanuts/hirokuni
pool 2: kenin/adevis (socks is close though)
pool 3: sage/i don't know anyone else
pool 4: really hard to say, I wanna say lilman winners but losers is tossup between shade nate and khaos (i gotta root for my man nate though u know <3)

Please don't sleep on Socks. He's improved so much in the past few months & I don't think anyone else in Pool 2 is conceivably close to him or kenin in skill level. Shade is also slept on incredibly hard.
 
socks is really good, like i said he's definitely tossup for losers in his pool, but I think a lot of people haven't seen adeveis because he's 1) mostly online AFAIK and 2) was on PS3 for a while. I guess I'll say don't sleep on him lol, but between him and socks it will be close I think. Shade nate and lilman I think are roughly the same level but I have not seen lilman recently so who knows, if he has improved since I last saw him then I think he is the best candidate for making it out in winners but that pool is the toughest to call IMO.

to be perfectly honest I put Khaos in because despite not making it out of pools he made a good showing at CB, however I do not know how much if any SG he has played since then so I dunno if he'll be able to keep the gates ;_;

o did i misunderstand ken's post, I thought he meant that adeveis had previously said he wasn't going so that's why he wasn't seeded but he was going now, if adeveis can't make it then yeah socks is coming out in losers for sure
 
Really happy to see Florida really coming out for this. Also, seems you guys have as many people as Summerjam (52)?
 
Looks like Pool 2 is where the party is at. Going to be hard to dodge going 0-2 this time but I'll do my best with Squiggles and home girl Parasoul!
