So 7k is bad damage? What is the real Painwheel combos lol. I am getting scared seeing a guy talk about 10k. Sounds legit.

Regular Bob-Joe Charged HP Corner Combo is this painwheel's bnb?
 
That corner reset starting at 1:30 with stinger is cool and I will do that, although it isn't just low/throw since you can fly from stinger oh boyyyyy

my face watching the video 0_0 the sudden realization i'm bad. I knew I was bad but now I'm worse than bad. The real spoiler here was my hopes and dreams. Must practice more. Painwheel/Squigs/Parasoul I call it PSP lol. That's the future right there. I have seen the gospel.

Hey hey now smaller characters can get in on the fun too. On most of the cast you can do j.lp/lk (up or up forward) fly df j.lk land st.lp into w/e. You won't be able to get the abusive stage 2/3/4 stuff with a low/throw starter since when you land you'll already be in stage 3, but it's still worth noting for a mixup tool.

Word, I'll have to play with it. I think I may have some execution problems since I haven't gotten j.LP, j.LK to string well on anyone but Double or BB.

On shorter characters I've been playing with (9)j.LP x fly, (1)j.MK x fly (9)j.MK midscreen since the momentum of the j.LP makes it look like you'll go over them for a crossup. Similar inertia/principle as the Fortune j.HP (above) ADC backwards j.HP for fake crossup. Then if the first j.MK doesn't hit, you can go for a real crossup with the second or switch the second one out for j.HK if they're short like PW/Peacock.

All this of course if they're legitimately scared or I have LK Bomber on top of them since j.LP fly j.MK is pretty loose.
 
No ch, midscreen, cr.lk starter 8.8k tested only against fortune and peacock.

Cr.lk,cr.mk,st.hp xx fly df+lk cr.mk,st.hp xx lk buer xx fly df+lp, st.mp, j.mp (3 or 4) xx mk buer xx thresher xx fly j.mk,cr.lk cr.mk xx lp stinger, dash st.lp,cr.lk,cr.mp,st.hp xx lk buer xx deathcrawl

Note that the j.mk after thresher has to be timed and spaced well in order for the cr.lk,cr.mk string to not push to far away.

Have you messed around with beta much? How will those affect your combos?
 
Much much easier version of my above posted combo:

Switch out the j.mp for j.mk, and use j.mp to otg

8.8k midscreen, universal, cr.lk starter, no ch required, 2 meters, no assist required or distance from corner needed.


Does about 7.4k when ending in lk buer to go for midscreen mixups, or cr.hp xx hk buer for corner push. Can also end at the st.lp for stinger mixups.

Not universal? Doesnt seem to work on parasoul midscreen... Might be something to have mike take a look at cause it doesnt seem right that it wiffs. Will have to test everyone now... Sigh... Laziness.

Have you messed around with beta much? How will those affect your combos?

They don't work anymore. Buer fly cancel limit change was designed to fix/break/whatever those buer-heavy routes, among other things.

You can sort of do a janky version of Krackatoa's carry combo in the corner, but I imagine/hope someone'll come up with something better soon.

Yeah that's not an insignificant amount of damage.

I'm still waiting to see how unfly changes our busted MUs, but if it isn't significant solo-PW just took a hell of a nerf. She is missing a lot of fundamental tools, and her damage was one of the compensations for that.

Of course, that said the damage needed nerfed and unfly is potentially pretty big... time will tell.
 
So... LK buer > install > s.HP doesn't combo anymore?

Install is not only good for combos. Your left/right mixup becomes filia tier and you get the best throw damage in the game. Use your head and don't just go for pretty combos, especially when you have a lot of health when you install since it doesn't last long

Also, if you use Install j.mk buer > buer drive, the opponent leaves hitstun after ~5 hits and gets to block or something. Is this a bug?

just do some kind of chain into fly forward j hk, it hit crosup as fast as dash jump j hk from filia. No idea about what you're talking about with the buer.

you can still do them dude. just land and j lp xx buer land j lk xx buer etc

Err... If I do a j.mk buer on the opponent while I have Hatred Install going on, I use a lvl 3 while they're sliding. It hits a few times, then they recover and are able to block the rest of the attack (the wall bounce and whatnot).

I'm gonna be a hunned with you right now and say that you should just not try to buer overdrive (lvl 3) a sliding character. It will work at any other time

Depends on what you are looking for. There are a lot of combo conventions such as with assist, corner only, 1,2,3 or more meters, unlikely starters, non universal, universal, mostly universal,dhc, midscreen, counterhit.... Etc etc


The combo i posted in my last post here is probably one of, if not the highest damage:

Midscreen,1meter,likely starter,mostly universal, non counter hit, no assist, corner also works and is fully universal,no dhc, ends in reset...


Combos that that painwheel has.


If you want higher damage you need to start sacrificing all aroundness and get into corner/character specific/assist/more than 1 meter/dhc combos.



I think realistic/likely starter corner combos for 1 meter are topping out at around 8.5k but i could be wrong.

Haven't gone too far into it since the Buer change. 8.5k sounds about right for one meter. You can squeeze a lot extra out of an assist call extension, however. It probably tops out at around 10k for optimal CH setups with Assist.

Honestly, you're going to be hard pressed to make it better than what you have already. Buer change kinda shackled her options. The routes she has open to her all produce roughly the same amount of damage.

I think you'd find a lot more damage if you go into buers a lot faster. st.hk > j.mp/j.hp is a lot of hits before going into the loop.
 
I was trying things out with Hatred Install. I'm not too familiar with the Hatred Install properties because I never use it at all.

Fun path to do in the corner with Install:

j.HP(4) xx Air.LK.Buer xx Fly > j.LP xx Air.HK.Buer Bounce > s.MP Launch > j.MP xx Air.LK.Buer xx Fly > 9j.LK xx Air.HK.Buer Super Mega Bounce

You can land a full four hits on j.HP, and it's a fairly efficient path.

The thing about Hatred Install to take note of is increased Armor hits and Flight Speed.

Flight speed increase allows you to set up crossup setups where you wouldn't be able to previous (Due to them being too slow). Fly cancelling something into j.HK becomes far safer in Install (Though not completely safe).
 
I'll start experimenting that combo and probably other variations of that combo. I just started doing Hatred Install combos a few days ago but never recorded them until now. I was more focused on green/red burst-bait combos.

I've experimented a little and found that if you start the combo with j.MK, s.LP, s.LK, the rest of the combo instead of cr.LK you get a total of 9134 damage at the end.
