Golurk = Jack (Power Fighting / Sheer Force)
Toxicroak = Sergei Dragunov (Combat Sambo)
Chesnaught = Bob (Free Style Karate)
Infernape = Lei Wulong (5 Form Kung Fu and Zui Quan)
Blaziken = Jin Kazama (Kazama Style Traditional Martial Arts)
Gallade = Lars Alexandersson (Military Based Martial Arts)
Emboar = Feng Wei (God Fist Style Chinese Martial Arts)

And Hitmonlee is Bruce Irvin (Kickboxing)? Nah. Either Marshall Law (Jeet Kune Do) because Bruce Lee, or Hwoarang (Teakwondo) cause kicks.

Gardevoir's a bit of a fan favorite (for multiple reasons, not just the one), so I could definitely see her getting in.
Whether she's as OP as she was in Type Wild is to be seen.

I'd main her regardless.
Mostly because I work on a webcomic starring a Gardevoir and have a strong connection to the character.

And also I like keepaway characters.
Imagine her as a long ranged grappler, Jesus.
 
I was thinking of Vigoroth and Slaking, but I don't know how they would work. Ingame Slaking has Legendary-level stats but one of the worst abilities ever. Them and/or Marowak.

This game seems interesting, but it also doesn't appeal to me all that much. Maybe that will change once I know more about its gameplay and roster.

Call me crazy but I can kind of see Florges being a good playable character. She even has alternate colors already :D

all of them have at least one alternate color already (Except Garchomp hhehehehe)

Ehhh...a 4x weakness to fairy isn't your safest typing...
 
Every pseudo legendary aside from Goodra and Metagross has had a 4x weakness of some kind. I fail to see the issue.
