I'm not even trying to state you're worse than me or bad or whatever, but in that tournament you just didn't do well at all -
And then somehow landed on the same rank as I did, when I would've had a /very/ hard time doing any better.
If you had won against Vlad, you would have played Peck in the 5th round (dunno if this would actually have happened, just an example),
lost there, and then landed on the same spot - making your result against Vlad rather meaningless overall.
The small amount of rounds with the high amount of players just results in a lot of luck-of-the-draw, end results with 10 way ties, and 'meaningless' wins for mid level players;
Have a bad day:
- Lose first two matches, then win next 2 against the bottom, go into 5th round with 2-2
Have a good day:
- Win first two matches, then lose next 2 against the very top, go into 5th round with 2-2
End result being no difference at all whether you do well or bad.
