Skullbats PC NA/SA

So you're telling me I CAN'T donate 8 copies of Bad Rats for Top 8 this season.

Tonight is casualbats one more time. Next week Season 5 starts on 6-29. Break for evo in the middle. Cya tonight for casuals!
 
Oh just a reminder: once season starts eliza is playable but until we are sure via mike that shes finished your opponent may request you not play her.

Eightysixed is streaming a con so USS won't be on tonight. We should be good to go next week, though.

Next week will be casualbats while we get stuff figured out. POS would like to keep streaming skullbats but would also like some time off due to heavy work schedule. I'll keep thread updated. Cya'll next sunday at 8pm est for casuals.

Sorry for late thread update. We are running casualbats right now. Many people were in favor of starting next season after the holidays and the rest seemed to not care either way so that's what we're doing. Will start back up some time in January. Everyone is welcome anytime we are running casuals. I still create a swiss bracket so everything runs the same but you don't have to worry about being there every week to try for top 8. Strim still happening during casualbats so drop by to check that out too.

Late thread bumps coming in. Doing casuals right now. Format for tournament might be changing. Thinking on it atm. It's gettting a little boring seeing mostly the same people. Especially as some of the gooder players have little to no competition. Gladly accepting any suggestions. Season might just start in a few weeks while I continue to think on it. As always drop by for games and to check out the stream if POS is there or if he isn't and someone else picks up the reigns.

I encourage everyone to join danisen and make their sets for skullbats part of it. Just use your first 2/3 for it when we are running 3/5.

I've mentioned a few times that next season will probably be the last for me. I want to try to make this one bigish if possible so I'll probably bring back prizes. Please help spread the word. Will update in the coming weeks. In the meantime it will be casuals as usual.

Someone is welcome to take it over expect there won't be trouble finding someone. I will probably keep playing most of the time but after roughly 2 years I would like to stop committing a night a week to running a tourney. Preemptive thanks to all who have participated and especially those who put work in to stream when it happened (especially POS!).

Casuals tonight. May or mayn't be streamed due to Summer Jam. Expecting people to be there/be watching. Show up for some games if you'd like!

I wish I understood everything that works in making it run well, so if anyone thinks anything is missing/could be improved tell me since I'm just kind of trying things here and hoping they work.

I think this week is probably as good of a time as any to start out the new season. Just like before, it will be 6 weeks of ranking points with a top 8 at the end, probably using 3/5 for everything. I'll give a $30 - $13 - $7 prize for the top 3 of said top 8; I dunno how to feel exactly about prizes but since they were a thing before we'll at least keep a meager one for now.

I think we'll try using the EU ranking points system instead, courtesy of Muro.

These points in turn are earned each Sunday in weeks 1-7 [added note: 6 weeks for US Skulbats here] based on which tier they take in the Swiss tournament
(where tier = group of people with the same number of wins; explained in detail here):

1st tier: 9* points
2nd: 7
3rd: 5
4th: 3
5th: 2
6th+: 1

*If you are clear first (rather than tying for first), you get a bonus point for a total of 10.

NOTE: If a player leaves mid-tourney for whatever reason (disqualification / forfeit [added notes: including connection issues or having to leave for other scheduled events ), they are given zeropoints no matter how high they scored that evening.

Another random note is that while I'd like to try and handle things this season, things have changed in the past couple of weeks of casualbats where I'm started to get pulled and pulled into more local events and such. While I think I can handle a Season myself, I may get a little busy afterwards and not be able to do more for a while. If anyone else wants to co-handle running things during the times that I can't, or think they'd rather take over (I only volunteer'd since I figure'd no one else would), it'd be much appreciated.
