I'm not speaking as the company (yet), but I would ask you guys to not put such scenes into the game.
While I don't care if people make Skullgirls erotic material or using ripped assets to make a fan game, I do mind if the two are put together in the same project. If someone would replace all the borrowed assets, then that would be fine.

hey whatever you want Bossman. If your not comfortable with having sex scenes in a game with borrowed assists then I have no problem not including them. TBH I didn't think any from lab zero knew this thing existed. But if you dont want it then I have to oblige, its not my IP or assists after all. Back to the original plan.

Ya know, even though I did start this project when I was 13 or something, I would like for ya'll to not make erotic smut out of it. As for the ripped assets, I wasn't a good artist at the time and I would have rather just ripped the assets instead of making newer (albeit more shittier) ones. However, ya'll got more buzz than I had gotten over 2 or so years ago so I guess it maybe time to make newer assets.

I'm not an artist...well not a good one so I would have to pay artists to draw custom sprites and the problem with that is, well I cant afford it. The amount of goodwill people have done for this project has made me so happy, to say I'm beyond grateful would be an understatement. while i can afford to pay for stuff like backgrounds or cut-scenes to pay for custom face sprites of every character would be pricy on me so ripped assets are what I have to work with. I became the last person on this project and I want to finish it but its a hobby and not a job, I don't have funding, hell I don't even have a team anymore its all been me with outside help from friends so the community has really helped me achieve things that I couldn't do alone.
TBH its kinda embarrassing the first time a lab zero rep noticed this project it had to been when I'm actually on the fence about something I was against.
I'd love to help with this project. Problem is, I know nothing of programming, my art skills are still pretty bleh aside from the smaller scale pixel art I do, and I don't really trust my writing skills as much as my critiquing skills...Most I can really do is give feedback and be bad at video games to help ya, despite wanting to contribute something.
And honestly this is the problem. While no ones at fault it dos infuriate me a lot when we have someone who wants to write writes an intro or a few pages and then vanishes a week later never to be seen again. This is what happened with the entire team back when I was around, all the writers left either because of disputes with each other o they got bored.
I do enjoy working on this project even if I am working on it alone but sometimes ya feel unappreciated ya know? I dont want to sound like a jerk its not my intention but I put a lot of hard work and its hard to program, write a story, and script every route for one person.
Oh I totally understand. I've tried multiple times to get a game project of mine off the ground, but the people I get to help keep either disappearing or are really unable to do much. I as well didn't really have the expertise necessary to contribute anything to my own project back then though, so it was partially my fault for even jumping into such a thing, but regardless, I understand where you're coming from.
Plot twist: Entire Lab 0 soon to know about Skulldate, Ahad's response: This is so unrealistic 3/10 Mike Z: Where's the netcode through? 2/10. Kinuko: This is cute but man who drew these cutscenes? These are terrible. Richard: Yeah what Mariel said. Persona: [Too busy working on Indivisible animation. Not available for comment. He drew a sick mini comic about it tho] Gertwagen: That apartment room in Cerebella's act is seriously cluttered who designed that jeez. Jun: Please don't make them sex there's enough SG rule 34 as is. Vince: Needs more Jazz music tbh Hartel: This is weirding me out. Bartholow: idk I kinda like it.
Lab Zero collective: Needs less sex and more Chex.
You don't. Don't worry. I'm sure we all understand what you're going through. You want this to succeed and fly and become as great as you imagined it but you have a hard time finding others who are as dedicated to it as you. You're faced with the decision of just giving up because everybody else has abandoned ship or grabbing all the ores and rowing the boat yourself.
Working on Crashed Star for so long and with virtually no funds and a team who all had conflicting viewpoints on what X hitbox should do or what X background would look like, I know how you feel. Some people did end up quitting and I really felt like, petty as it might sound, I was the only one who really cared about the game. (This was selfish in hindsight I wasn't doing the programming or the music or the marketing or any of the hard parts, I was just drawing art and writing the story. The entire Design and half the art department was mine and it never felt too difficult to manage, unlike others on the team). It's going smoothly now, but there were definitely hard parts.

Okay you've mentioned this a few times already and i feel compelled to say this won't be me. As a professional writer (as in writing is my current career next to Law School) I take deadlines, story scripting, lore crafting, dialogue implementation and scripting in general very seriously. I said the 20th and I mean it.
I do enjoy working on this project even if I am working on it alone
Hey man, you're not alone. I'm still here. Even though I'm just helping out with writing for now it's still technically not alone. And the other writers who may or may not still be active. LUg reporting for duty!
Yes I'm getting hyped up over an unofficial dating sim. When you've got a job like mine you take anything you're working on seriously.
I would help but I don't quite remember myself. I know there's a playthrough online where it shows you. I didn't program the Squigly route so I can't exactly remember :/

Sorry man.
no problem man, thanks for the info about the playthrough
I'm so dump i can get only Neutral Ending with Squigly route lol, some help pls???
Did you:
Get her to tell you about her nickname at the cafe?
Tell her that you are okay with her not being alive?
Tell her that you love your family, you came for the adventure, and are helping because you can at the apartment?
Go through all of the dialogue outside of the church (and cheer her up with a joke)?
Do the Lab 8 and Medici Tower sidequests?
I think that's all that might be needed. Someone tell me if I missed anything.

So for any writers who want to join Skulldate we have a discord! if you want to write and want in please PM me. it's the best way for everyone to talk with each other.
Sorry to be of trouble, but I do have one question. Is this game completely discontinued? I can seem to find any information on any of the routes besides from 3 years back and the only completed source material that I have played so far is Squigly's route.
oh lol no. team fucking bailed and i have more pressing matters in life. was a hobby that i had no fun with anymore. if anyone wants to pick it up PM me and ill give you the assets and code and point you in the right direction where to get started.
