What Capcom currently does with the story stuff is okay when it comes to street fighter. story should be the most secondary thing they should focus on.

Don't see the issue why you can't have both a good single player experience like story mode (You know something that would make you feel like you got more bang with your buck instead of settling for the bare bones consisting of Arcade, Versus, and Training.) for the casual crowd (You know..the majority of your consumers) AND a solid fighting game for the more competitive players (The people who will stick with the game after time passed).
If you don't like cutscenes, pauses, etc then the arcade/versus mode would skip all that and you can head straight to the fight. The story mode is to make the player feel the character they main is something more then a glorified hit box by giving them a personality/backstory and how they have any relevance meeting/fighting the other characters on the roster..
Its 2013 Capcom needs to wake up (Well seemed like they finally did back in April) and smell the coffee since other fighters like every recent Arc Sys game, MK9/Injustice, KoF XIII, etc (I.E there competitors) are expanding their single player experience while arguable still being decent fighters in the end.
And the fact Dudley's car keeps getting stolen.
I believe canon was that Ken punched it to death in a bonus stage.
Dudley's car was only stolen once.
no. Dudley's car was only stolen once. In SF4, Dudley entered the tournament on a whim. later on in the timeline in SF3, Dudley joined because a car was stolen.
To play Devil's advocate, unlike DOA, most SF characters wear pants. And SF wouldn't have one dude trying to constantly cop a feel off teenage girls.
There's only one guy trying to cop a feel on girls. And most of the time when he's doing it he's drunk.... which is a lot because he's a drunken kung-fu master. (and even then most of the girls are at or above the legal age of consent Japan)To play Devil's advocate, unlike DOA, most SF characters wear pants. Anyway, crossing fingers that the 5th character is Jean Reno but expecting it to be something direly insipid instead. Will still probably get the game. I assume I can make the transition from Super to Ultra.

I've always felt that SF has the potential for a good story mode, and I even find some characters (Adon, Sagat, Akuma, etc.) to be mildly interesting from a story standpoint. It's just Capcom never does anything with this potential and I find it hard to care anymore. That said, I would love to see a more story heavy SF in the vein of BlazBlue or even MK9\IGAU.
Big Rumor. Not too sure abot it being true as it would mean something with Oni would change.
