If Cody's V-trigger isn't taking off his cuffs then what's the point.

Also make zonk his v-skill so I don't have to hold buttons

Ono personally views it as the community joking, when asked about Q for SFxT he said no, Q is "a dead horse"*. It's unlikely you're getting Q while Ono is in charge, though I think he was top of the TxSF character poll way back? Maybe put hope there if you're looking for any.

Again, no one has sourced the claims of this season 3 roster yet.
*Trying to find that interview, I believe it was in Japanese, might have been the SFxT launch event according to some forum posts I can find about it but I can't find the thing itself, which is weird because I know I've found it before.

The suspicion that Karin wasn't going to return happened because people thought she was jointly owned by the mangaka of Sakura Ganbaru! (her first appearance) and Capcom, similar to the deal going on between Moto Kikaku and Capcom for the Strider series or between Arika and Capcom for the Street Fighter EX characters. Considering all the appearances she's made elsewhere in the Street Fighter series and its crossovers, I don't think that's really the case, though.
 
Anyone know anything about these Super SFV rumors? ive just seen tidbits here and there and curious about the validity of them as well as whats supposed to be included in a SSFV
 
Hadn't heard anything, except some new files suggesting characters are getting a second V-Trigger, V-Skill and maybe Super.
 
^ That is all I heard too, just really sketchy at this point.

at this point Maddie it just looks to be fans ripping apart code seeing stuff that might suggest stuff like that, but then again it's nothing solid and it could be just stuff for Season 3

Thank you for finding that, but again, that's Ono, the polls do not match what he says.

Though the polls also list Karin as the most popular SF character in Japan, despite her only having been in Alpha 3 at that point, so it seems like people voted people up characters they wanted back more than actual favorites. I imagine Ono personally interprets Q getting such high rankings as a community joke since he wasn't exactly a highly played character in a game that already wasn't that popular in comparison to others. Though that said, he gave us Alex, so who the fuck knows, I guess he had the main character thing going for him.
 
Ono's primary contributions to Capcom were the SF3 and CvS2 OSTs
not because he made them, but rather he guided the music in the iconic hip-hop direction

I'd heard that for SFIII, but not for CvS2, you have a source anywhere? I'd be curious to see it. CvS2 is easily one of the best fighting game soundtracks.

I've always heard that it was both, but that could honestly just be my memory working against me

Fair enough, I've never really seen a source on the SFIII thing either other than he is credited as a "sound management director" on it. As far as I know he has no CvS2 credit.
Also just going to state this since I've been having to ask so much lately; I'm not source hounding in a YOU FUCKING LIAR way, I really like the OST for CvS2 and would be interested to reading about that, will go look for myself now, actually. The leak though I still haven't seen anything for that or ever heard anyone say Q had legal issues prior to this thread, though I do know what character is being referenced of course.

WHAT?! NO Q?! Why Juli and Roxy?!!?!?! Why not just bring thickalicious Poison back? I....I'm not happy with this except for Cody. I figured Sagat and Oro were a given but....yeah, still bummed a bit about Q.

Roxy is like poison except without causing all those scary confusing transphobic feelings that plague the minds of weaker men.

Now the straight gamer men can have the same design of poison with a much less intimidating package

the official lowdown on their down-lows as far I know is that Poison is official trans and Roxy is officially cis
that's the story they're sticking with from what I can tell

I think Ono at one point said that Poison's cis over here but trans in Japan

basically I see em as whatever you want em to be and it doesn't really matter in the long run

it was post-op in the west and pre-op in japan

Oh really? Hmm I thought the story was that they're both oh well, I think they won't delve more into the deal for the future than they already have heh. I think that's for the best.

On a serious note, I dunno how they're going to change her up. It's kinda weird that in Abigail's storymode they art made her look just like Poison instead of giving her the usual red hair.
