A lot of stuff happened for NEC today, oodles of good news! So I just felt like adding a bit of incentive.
So i'm trying to have a EC vs the world 10v10 at Combo Breaker
As you can see, 4 slots are open. So, this how we'll decide 3 of them.
I'll be hosting 3 separate tournaments at NEC aside from Singles, no entry, nothing like that, the winner of the team gets to be on Team East Coast at Combo Breaker. That's your prize, you get to take on the WORLD.
Planning:
Depending on time these may happen all at separate times, or if timing permits, we'll just run all 3 of them in a row. It all depends.
BYOC area or a certain hotel room, obviously I will make sure everyone interested will be updated. Via twitter and whatever else, trust me, if you WANT to enter you'll know when/where its happening.
----------
Requirements to be allowed into the tournament:
-Must represent/reside in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North, Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and/or Florida to be allowed on the EAST COAST team.
-Must be 99.9% positive that you will indeed BE at Combo Breaker. My goal is to have to very little plan b's, if you enter these tournaments you very well plan on BEING at Combo Breaker. The .1% is for the true unblockable, if something happens where you plan on attending but you no longer can't (personal issues/serious engagement/weddings) its fine, things happen. Just enter the tournament if you know gosh darn well you are already going to CB or you are in the motions of making sure you can go.
-Can't be on the team already, obviously. If you win tournament #1 you can't enter tournaments 2 and 3, and obviously me and the other 5 confirmed members can't enter either.
-REAL TALK: If you don't have confidence in yourself, don't enter. Enter this tournament if you GENUINELY think you have what it takes to qualify in this high level 10v10. I will not say no to anyone if they have the right qualifications mentioned above, I will not disallow anyone to enter in terms of skill, as long as you truly believe in your own ability and you REALLY think you belong in the 10. You may enter, but if you don't have confidence in yourself or your gameplay this isn't for you.
----------
Tournament Rules:
-PS3
Whatever NEC/CB is running on we'll make sure the qualifiers are running on the same hardware. Just be sure to have a stick or controller ready. Once we get closer to the tournament i'll be able to confirm this further.
-Default in game rules of course.
-SINGLE ELIMINATION
The exhibition itself is "single elim" in the sense that if you lose once you're done. No second chances, therefor no reason to give you second chances to qualify.
-2/3 sets.
-TEAM LOCK (Regardless of set count)
The exhibition will be team lock, so this will be as well. TEAM ORDER, AND ASSISTS ARE ALLOWED TO CHANGE WIN OR LOSS.
If anyone has any questions please let me know, remember its 3 tournaments. So you have 3 chances to make it out and be apart of the team. Good luck!!
