i like how japanese fans react to tomino's statements with a laugh and a "glad he's still healthy enough for his normal schtick" and western fans get all defensive and mad about it. the article even jokes about it.
y'all take your toy-selling cartoons too seriously here.
Watchmojo made a top 10 gundam. SEED was on it somewhere, I think. I dunno, all I remember is bleaching my eyes...Watchmojo isn't very good at actually making lists over super specific things without it feeling uninformed and lazy.
This is why I don't into top 10 lists. Gundam is too big to ever make one anyone will reasonably agree with. The UC guys will fuss about CE stuff, the CE guys will fuss about UC, the AU crowd will disregard everyone not them. It just never ends well.
I mean, I like top 10 lists that are done by guys like The Autarch, Rabbidluigi, Quarter Guy. They got Soul. Watchmojo don't got soul. It doesn't feel personal, just like a list of an onlooker without any personal attachment to what he's talking about.
So, I actually bothered to watch this thing and yeah, they did zero homework on half of them. If you're gonna do something, at least try and do it right. That said, and it just clicked, they only really chose ones from shows we got US dvd releases for. Turn A is kind of the big tell on this since it just finished being released like a month ago.
It's nice they had the Origin team do the animation for that, it would've felt weird otherwise if they tried to do that with old footage. Also nice: the fact that Ikeda-san still does Char perfectly after 35+ years.
