I think Nurse Akali came out before the Skullgirls boom, her hair isn’t blue, that’s just the light reflecting off of it, and nurses have those things on them anyway. Im sure it’s just coincidence unless Riotgames says otherwise.

Check on wiki. Nurse skin was relised year before SG relise. Also "Splash art was probably inspired by Skullgirls character".

again, the blue part of the hair is likely just natural color theory for black hair. It's the reason why characters in cartoons with natural hair colors have blue hair, because black hair can make a reflective blue color on hair.

It's honestly one of the best redesigns yet because it's wholesome and nice without being needlessly edgy.
And the ending "We could be elves" implies that either one skin got majorly reworked, or a new skins launching with this one

Yup, some skin themes got reworked completely
Grungy Nunu is now a Toy-themed Nunu
From Sesame Street to Monsters Inc!

Which was literally just canceled less than 4 days ago.
