The One man Orchestra Pit (Beta thoughts and suggestions)

Ah ok... Yes that seems pretty good on paper... Will experiment :)

The upgrade in the Under the Bridge stage are great!!!

Let's wait the full song (with the Sax!!!)

Alright, I need someone to educate me about Satchmo Solo / Satchmo Deathblow (his level 5).

Far as I can tell, the first bit fades into a pause in the battle, where you get to play whatever you want on the trumpet until either Big Band's meter runs out, or you initiate Satchmo Deathblow. Am I missing something, or does the Solo itself do no damage unless you trigger the Deathblow? If so, is there any reason to not immediately trigger the Deathblow, aside from it being fun to play on the horn?

Secondly, is the amount of damage done by Satchmo Deathblow worth the meter investment? Don't get me wrong, I can see clearly that it does a major amount of damage (a 2-man team Big Band vs anoher 2-man team member took out half his opponent's health with Satchmo Deathblow alone, without any lead-in beyond the Echoes notes), but it seems to me that 5 shots of Supersonic Jazz and/or TUBATUBATUBA would be a more powerful investment of those 5 meters.

If I'm wrong, please tell me. I'd like to better understand this move's place in Big Band's overall combat ability

well the additional notes arent supposed to do damage as it was originally made as a taunt, but then some one said "lets make this a real attack", the point of the note inputs when time stops is the taunt and the attack is the attack.

last I checked it does around 7k damage and is easily comboed into which makes it pretty decent, also you can whiff the trumpets and it will still come out which does a decent amount of chip

Because you only need to hit somebody with one mixup to hit them with a level 5 super. You'd need to open somebody up at least 3 times to land 5 Super Sonic Jazz for 5 meter.

TBH its not a very efficient use of meter, but if its going to kill the character (and his level 3 super won't do the job) it could still be worth it rather than giving your opponent another chance.
