I needa get my Overwatch on. Finally got my game updated Edit: Scratch that. Just tried to start the game and found another fucking update... Needa snag some of dem event skins
 
People are using the Doomfist comic to theorize the next Character's release date.

Specifically the scenes where Craps are being played. The three French words are Seven, Eleven and Out.

That puts it as Tuesday Nov. 7 which fits in line for the character every 3 months.

As for the new map, it comes with a new mode: Chateau Guillard, the ancestral home of Widowmaker is the first true Deathmatch stage and is already on the PTR.

it is a first to 20 Deathmatch style, and if Mercy pops her Resurrection, the Opposing team LOSES those kills from their totals.
 
November 7th is close to Blizzcon, so it's possible, but who would be big enough to reveal at Blizzcon? We thought ti'd be Doomfist but he just came outta nowhere.
It's also pretty close to when Sombra released.
 
To be exact it is the first Tuesday AFTER Blizzcon (Nov 3-5) this year. Expect the reveal trailer like Sombra at Blizzcon last year for whoever is to come out on Nov 7.

That is, after we get all the leadup hints. Right now I'm calling Hammond from the Lunar Base clues a few months ago.

Mei is more and more like the Pyro now that we know she cobbled together her ice gun like the Pyro did with the flamethrower.

Gonna play Flight of the Valkyries, when I activate it, and start murdering everyone.
 
I'm just so glad that Jeff anknowledged that getting a team kill only to have it erased by Mercy was very disheartening, because, yeah it is.
You set up an absolutely baller combination or get the perfect ult then it's just undone in a second, and also your potg is probably stolen as well.
This was bound to happen sooner or later because Resurrection as it was is just too strong, as well as potentially toxic (in the original meaning, as in, if someone switches to mercy, your whole gameplan has to change or you lose)

Plus, this also makes her a whole lot LESS FUCKING BORING TO PLAY.
GOOD GOD SHE WAS SO BORING TO PLAY AS IS.
Even with the gun you never REALLY have fun as Mercy.
 
I'm still not liking the new ult. While, yeah it's cool to Multi-heal/Buff, it's still not interesting. And no, Flight isn't fun
 
This ultimate is the logical end conclusion of everyone in the fandom interpreting Mercy as this tired coffee drinking character who would go on a murder rampage if she wasn't stuck healing people

Also since Soldier has auto aim and Widow has wallhacks now Mercy has no clip
 
I have a question, as Doomfist if I use Meteor Strike and position myself directly over Pharah or Mercy or any other airborne target will they take the damage as I go through them on the way down or do they have to be close to the ground to get hit?

With another friggin bird in the air I have to consider these things now
 
They have to be near the ground where you land. Anyone that's in the air is unaffected.
 
New changes are pretty shit for Mercy.

The D.Va changes are alright, though, I guess.

Soooo, I haven't played Overwatch in over a year, or at least that what the automated recording file says on my desktop. I stopped mostly because I just stopped having fun and lost interest.

I was wondering if it was even worth me coming back after all this time? Like 3 characters where added (I left right before Sambra [they hyped her up for to long and I lost interest]), there's been so many changes, and while I have hovered around the community, I don't know how it is in game. And if it is worth coming back, any tips for an old noobie?
 
I play once in a while, it is still fun. If you want to play for fun, then I would recommend staying away from ranked. Go into training mode to check out the new characters as well as your preferred characters, there have been a bunch of revisions that buffed / nerfed this year.

Thanks guys, no worries about me staying away from Competitive last thing I personally need are golden weapons. I'll give it a shot when I can.

Love those two new skins

Hope we get some reaper backstory for once
 
McCree looks awesome but the last Halloween Reaper skin was so much better

The skull mask without the hood just looks unsettling
