well they got nerfed in UNIEST but that's not coming westward for a while, I think...

Wow, that's the first time I will end enjoying top tiers in a fighting game then (look at my team on Skullgirls). Care to explain who are those 3 characters please?

Better than nothing I guess. I'm not complaining because at least I have other games to play until then (like SFV).
 
@Raging_Zoroark Merkava and Gourdoue say hi. They also are stupid and the best in this game

Merkava, Gordeau, and slightly behind those two, Waldstein.

How are Chaos and Byakuya? And Carmine for that matter?

And relative balance?

I'm totally fine with having an S tier, but in UNIEL the top tier vs bottom tier MUs were some of the most lopsided I've ever seen (made worse by the small cast size). It was bad enough that I was half tempted to put my stick down and walk away for every Chaos v Merkava MU... and I don't rage quit ever.

So hopefully the gap between the bottom and top is smaller regardless of who is where.
 
I haven't seen a lot, but the game is sounding fairly balanced
all the lists I've seen have only had S, A, and B tiers, no S+ or C or anything else.
Chaos and Buck are both low A and high A, from what I understand, some people even think that Buck might be S-Tier worthy, but the game needs more time to develop, I guess.

I know it's not a guarantee, especially since it's a different thing, but the fact they're planning on releasing UNIEL again on a different platform for the west makes me feel they haven't abandoned the idea, at least not yet.
 
Are Yuzuriha and/or Eltnam good? (also Linne and Orie i guess. All of the waifus!)

It's a little early to look for mains and stuff but the opportunity to get it on PC has me excited.
 
Since you mentioned the Steam version, I'm assuming you mean 1.0 which I can speak to.

Elt is fantastic. Her damage is some of the highest in the game, though she's got some execution requirements (nothing too crazy). An Elt can compete at all levels without question.

I'm a lot less familiar with Yuzuriha, but the consensus is that everyone can compete at all levels with the possible exception of the bottom tier (Chaos, Akihiko, and possibly Byakuya) against the top tier (Merk, Wald, and Gord). That said, top 8's consist of Gord, Gord, and more Gord it seems.

Yuzu had some mechanics changed to her stance stuff and eltnum received a bit of a damage nerf and some invincibility removed on one of her supers. I think she might have gotten a buff somewhere but she mostly plays the same.
 
Yuzu is considered ok in the current version but is for some reason being nerfed. Though they DID revert the silly silly stance change where they removed D pairing, so she's not completely destroyed as she was in that one loctest.

Eltinum is considered high tier in the current version and is losing a couple of things that RemiKz mentioned, but is still considered pretty good, her game is pretty similar really.
 
Been considering getting this game for a while. Watched the story playthroughs on YT & read up a bit on DL.
Maybe with the PS+ sale going on & Christmas it's finally time.

Not in America at least. I think the update is out in Japan.

can anyone sound off on the steam version's netcode and overall performance? It's taking every ounce of willpower not to buy it right out the gate.
 
Didn't go online yet, but it's running much better than BB, I'm having no issues at all.

I mean Steam does have refunds now, you can check for yourself with pretty low risk.

Want the next version to drop already and for PS4. At least it's in arcade now.
 
they'll probably add two or three new characters in the next console port
Wagner is almost definitely one of them, the others will likely be another male and possibly a boss or new guest character
 
I feel like I have enough fun characters to play already, so when I see a new character teased at or announced, I mostly start salivating for the ost track that will accompany them.
 
Maybe we'll finally get that SG cameo character :P

Doubt it but Itd be great publicity for both with the SG release in Japan and Indivisible pushes as well as someone else recognizable for them to use to get more interest
