Still an amatuer Peacock
I see Gregier having an odd, blue and orange morality He tends to scare people cause of this, Among other reasons. He's almost as bad as Brain Drain.
Also if im correct, Annie has experience fighting skullgirls so it either be Annie goes into Anti-SG mode or Marie gets scared and just say 'ALL I WANTED TO DO IS SEE WHY MY FRIEND IS SO INTO YOUR SHOW!'
Went a little overboard with headcanons in the ACTUAL canon topic so I'm bringing it here - a geography headcanon.
There's a fantasy culture counterpart to Japan called the Tiger Empire. They and the Dragon Kingdom have been fierce enemies for centuries. This is based off dragons and tigers being depicted as fierce rivals in both Chinese and Japanese folklore as well as the real life animosity between those countries.
The Tiger Empire natives are carnivore mammal ferals (mostly of the feline variety) as opposed to the Dragon Kingdom's fish folk.
I got something like that:
Eh, I think a mostly-feline feral nation would take more after Spain and Mexico than Japan, if only because I'm pretty sure Alex said once that Ms. Fortune's the Skullgirls equivalent of Latina.Went a little overboard with headcanons in the ACTUAL canon topic so I'm bringing it here - a geography headcanon.

Yes, I do believe Feng has been mentioned to hail from the Dragon Empire. But I'm assuming the Dagonians are its native people or, at least, the largest chunk of its population. Unless Yu Wan and Minette's Asian motifs are truly unique to them, but some Little Innsmouth NPCs seem to look Asian... well, as Asian as a sea-creature humanoid can look.
Don't forget that Cerebella is also the Skullgirls equivalent of Brazilian, which is technically another subset of Hispanic people. (there's a lot of Hispanic countries. Brazil's a bit of an odd duck cause they were founded by the Portuguese.) Although I do think that Feline ferals are spread everywhere, they might have specific traits that identify them with a certain cultural equivalent. For example, a Russian Blue based Feral would be obviously from a Russian background, Scottish Fold for Highlands equivalent, etc.

I kinda wanna see it as the Chess Kingdom.I really wanna know about the Skullgirls equivalent to Russia now. I'm actually rather curious where it would sit, geographically speaking, seeing as the Canopy Kingdom is equal parts America and Europe, and the Dragon Empire is sort of an amalgamation of various Asian countries, and Russia's just a part of the whole Eurasian landmass.
Can't really see it being a part of the Dragon Empire, though.
I hope this is true, like goddamn.
Grandmaster = top tier chess player
Could be a fusion or somehow the Canopy includes Russia.I dunno, guize. After someone in another thread suggested the Chess Kingdom being influenced by Near Eastern cultures (given how chess was invented and codified in the regions where India and Iran now stand), I just can't see it any other way. Also helps that I'm very fond of Arabic architecture.
On the other hand, Grandmaster Meio Chess King...
Tiger Empire still 100% legit. :3
Could be both.
I always figured that technically Rommelgrad and the Gigan Nation were the Skullgirls equivalent of Russia. Plus Russia isn't too far from Finland, Norway and Sweden , which the Gigan Nation might take cues from.I really wanna know about the Skullgirls equivalent to Russia now. That's actually canon.
So is that.
I know that there's an Islam equivalent but Alex hasn't specified exactly how much "splitting" is between core trinitists. And I don't remember Alex actually saying that the Medici were aristocrats, just that they have a reasonably powerful hold on Pre-canopy Meridian Empire.
Given their namesake is the real life House of Medici, they likely held strong political power but were always "officially" citizens. Their were probably not rulers in the sense of a Medici wearing the crown but were the de facto rulers by pulling the weight of their wealth.
tl;dr - LOADSAMONEY
Necessary? INDISPENSABLE!
I think that the vines are actually arteries and veins. Arteries are connected to the heart, so I think that they could somehow represent the Skullheart in some way. Since the Mother's face is half skull, maybe the Skullheart is part of her/is her. Then again, the arteries seem to originate at the bottom of the cross, so perhaps the bottom of the cross represents it. But of course it could be something else entirely. I don't pay as much attention to Lore as I should, so it's totally possible I'm making myself sound stupid right now.Expanding on Denizen's Mother headcanon a bit.
The goddesses appear to have power over elemental aspects of existence with Aeon's time and Venus' space. I'd wager a guess that Mother has power over the final elements that fit into that picture, life and death. Alternatively, creation and destruction.
Both possibilities likely implied by the duality of her half alive, half dead face. With said face and those vine-like structured in the trinity statue, she does seem like half mother nature, half grim reaper.
If that statue was thriving for accuracy, she'd have to be fixated on a not-3DS or a doujin.
The larger the plot, the bigger the chances for such mistakes.

Reading through @LKArtillery's posts is like reading an essay.
At this point this isn't weird or unusual head canon, it's speculation of lore. I think you all should move this conversation to Skullgirls Lore Speculation.
• The flames that wreathe Skull Heart and the flames that Leviathan breathes are very similar and very special. Most fire comes from burning gas or fuel, but this unique fire comes from burning the very spirit of the user.
• This "Soul Fire" can only be wielded by those who possess a Parasite associated with death, such as Leviathan and the Skull Heart. Since Squigly and Marie both have a theme of death it would explain why they can both use it. The Mother of the Trinity would be able to use it inherently.
• Soul Fire is different from normal fire, it's properties are dependent on the spirit of the user. Therefore it's temperature can range from freezing to burning, it can be used to hurt or heal, and it varies in color with the user. One final property of the ethereal flame is that not only does it damage physically, it damages spiritually as well. Touching just a room temperature flame directly can hurt without any physical effect whatsoever.• Aeon is the goddess of time and Venus is the goddess of space. Therefore The Mother should be the goddess of something as well.
That something is Death.
