It's a curiosity question.

I'm kind of a Smash Bros. / Street Fighter person, plus I've been trying to learn Mortal Kombat.

I'm sorry those weren't included. They just escaped my mind when forming the poll.
 
I picked the ones I liked, but sad there's no Tobal or Bloody Roar on the list. Also missing a big one with CvS, and I kinda feel like CotA/MSH could qualify for their own spot apart from the MvC games too.
 
Marvel Vs Capcom, even though I regard everything outside of 2, XVS, and MSH as meh.

Darkstalkers is amazing too.

All of those are really fun but NOTHING tops King of Fighters, not even Skullgirls.

I will defend KOF to the fucking death.

My favorite fighting game outside of Skullgirls is Darkstalkers.

Despite evidence otherwise my favorite fighting game is actually Persona Arena- really love the universal actions, and the personas. While it is a bit unfair to compliment Arena for this, the characters and atmosphere are all great as well IMO. I do still love Blazblue, though.
 
Right now, outside of Skullgirls, Street fighter.

While i like a lot of other series, i don't have played them enough to say how much i like them. =P
 
my two actual favorite fighters are Virtua FIghter and Tekken.
I've also been playing more and more DoA.
 
Art of Fighting but no Fatal Fury/Garou?

Used to be Samurai Shodown/Spirits, but I haven’t realy played much of those games in years.

Sucks too since Yata is just third strike but King of Fighters moves sprinkled in. AND IT WORKS SUPER WELL!
 
Thanks to everyone for your continued support of this poll. I understand your concerns over which fighting games should be included in this poll, but the list is rather long so far, for a poll (however, there are still thousands of fighting games out there). If I were to restructure this poll, I'd base it off of this page, but organize it by series.

Probably The Last Blade - I'd drop pretty much everything if a new instalment was to be announced. Not sure if I prefer 1 or 2, though - gotta choose between the pretties and better mechanics of the second or gameplay that isn't fundamentally broken in a million ways for the first.

EDIT: Honourable mention to AH, but no PC version outside of that single-player arcade rip just makes me sad.

I enjoyed SCV a lot, but the stupid drawn cutscenes suck.

And just like that, a PC version is announced for steam. I am taking full credit for this.
 
Marvel vs. Capcom. I love the crazy pace of the matches and building teams. Same reason I love Skullgirls!

I've been in a Street Fighter mood lately though. I'm really excited for SF5.
 
Is dungeon fighter a fighting game? It's got fighting in the title. No? Then Killer Instinct because I've had the chance to play it. Persona Arena would be my favorite then.
 
Voted Tekken KOF GG Persona

KOF and GG, but I have a soft spot for lots of the animes. P4AU, UNIEL, Melty..
And I think the Tekken aesthetic is on point in EVERY WAY, and I like it strictly for that.

Honestly? My favorite? Probably Soul Calibur...Just because of nostalgia. Then Blazblue and then Garou/Kof/Fatal Fury, which I kinda group togethor despite being different. It's a tough choise XD
 
Currently, Guilty Gear (2D) and Dead or Alive (3D).
