Guys. Guys. I know this is going to be a controversial opinion... but...

I think I like the announcer for Smash 4 better than the announcer for P4AU.

Also, THIS MEANS WE MIGHT GET THE TITLE SHOUT IN-GAME AGAIN!!! It wasn't in Brawl and I missed it so much!
 
I'm still going to hope for Ridley as DLC or Smash Bros 5.
There's always the fucking next game.
NEXT FUCKING GAME.

Even if we get DLC it'll take a long time to get it. Spring 2015 for Mewtwo is a while away...who knows how much longer it will take to get more than one.

And you know, that was Metroid Other M Ridley.
The theory that Super Metroid based Ridley is still possible as a playable character and I will stick to that until the day I start shoving people into TVs.


And yes DDB, Mewtwo is the epitome of lame.
I'd much rather have a heavily moveset changed Lucas.
 
Yeah, that's not the final one. There's most likely at least one more for the middle sections too - look at how the Star Fox, DKC and Wuhu Island stages are all apart.
 
Still though. Temple got quite the upgrade. More so than any other classic stage.

I wish Onett and MAYBE FUCKING FOURSIDE got the same treatment but hey.
 
It looks like almost all of them have two stages each.

I'm expecting
  • Another Pokemon (Retro)
  • Another F-Zero (new or the 3DS one)
  • Another Mother (new or the 3DS one)
Also, the closer I look, the more that looks like a Yarn Yoshi stage.

Don't label me with them. I like him, but I was indifferent on him being included... I just wish there was different music used. Ugh.

I'm going to freak out if the F-zero Stage is something from GX...

Though on the "bright" side, because Mewtwo's on Both Versions that means that all DLC characters will be made for both versions.
They'll more than likely take a while.
...
And that also might exclude Ice Climbers unless they make them New 3DS exclusive or add in some other BS rule.
 
You know what? The fact that they mentioned Snake by name in the Direct is surprising.

Like, it almost gives hope. I mean, there's some copyright stuff, isn't there? Microsoft can't just mention Mario in a trailer for Halo, can they?
 
The only thing that can pull me out of this Mega Saltvolution is Snake.
And that is a bit of a ray of hope...

It was when they were talking about Palutena's codecs wasn't it?

UM, copyright stuff, I think that's only applicable if they refer to him as Solid Snake, just saying the word Snake is a little vague so I don't know if it'd apply.
I'd be down though, I loved Snake in Brawl.

Yeah, they say "like Snake's" when referring to it.

I mean, he wasn't Solid Snake in Brawl, he was just "Snake", and the copyright had him listed as "SNAKE is owned by KONAMI". In a legal battlefield, Nintendo would be in trouble cause there was no Konami copyright on this video. Even with just "Snake", the character is implied.

So yeah. Weird. That and his name being leftover in the 3DS data makes me kinda anxious. Not HOPING, anxious.
 
Also something that caught my eye.
You get Final Smash Trophies by beating All-Star in the Wii U version.
So that means the alternate color trophies are 3DS exclusive.
...
Fuck. I guess I gotta beat All-Star on 3DS with every character.
Or not, I don't really care anymore.
