Alright I think I've put this off for long enough. This is the thread where you talk about The Two Best Friends Play Team, AKA The Super Best Friends, AKA The Best Friends Zaibatsu. For those who don't know, they are a small group of Youtube comedians who talk and play video games for everyone's entertainment. At this point they are composed of 4 people, Matt, Pat, Woolie, and Liam. Instead of describing them with a lengthy post I'll just post an image and a few links to the Two Best Friends Wiki.

Absolutely love the Best Friends Zaibatsu, have gotten so many laughs and I cheered when I learned they were going to do the Shitstorm of Scariness again, love it! Hope they're gonna LP BEYOND Two Souls though, I did a marathon of Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain and enjoyed it. Even though I do like both games Story (from what I saw)

I was looking on Youtube for Metal Wolf Chaos videos because that game is ridiculous. Then I found these guys, and I've been a fan ever since.

My favorite is probably Pat. He talks so much shit.

So what does everyone think about Shitstorm 2: The Shittening? I think the spooks are becoming less frequent as The Shitstorm continues but the laughs haven't dropped one bit.

Also I found this.

yeah I've been watching this month's shitstorm. still waiting to see if Dead Space 2 or BioShock show up. (since they played Dead Space 1 and System Shock last year)

also someone post that fan art of Marie & Peacock dressed as Matt & Pat.

I really want them to play more Rule of Rose.
Also, on the last SBFC they talked a lot about Skullgirls and mental barriers that people have when approaching the game, but that might need it's own thread?

I also think that the past few horror games they played past Dino Crisis 3 are scary in their own way, just not pure horror like the other ones.
I mean, Friday The 13th was scary because it was so bad.
And the fact Jason goddamn Power Waved them.

It was well hidden but I found it.
Since it's the middle of the month I bet Shitstorm 2 is just in a valley. So far the scariest episode of Shitstorm 2 has been the first one when they played Outlast (I really hope they do a full play through). It went downhill after that but I think it will start to climb back up as it nears the finale. I hope they save something really good for the end.

I dunno, I thought Dreadout was pretty freaky. I'd love to see them do an LP of that.

Or maybe Curse: The Eye of Isis just because it looks so terrible.

You're right Dreadout was pretty terrifying, that first jump scare really got me. Instead of Curse: The Eye of Isis I want to see them do an LP of X-Files: Resist or Serve. That ending was too awesome.

I am still waiting for matt and liam's arts and crafts.

I love all the Zaibatsu members, but my favorite of the group is Pat. His attitude and straightforward intellectual shit talking makes me respect him every single time he udders a synonym, word, or phrase. Plus, he has the best laugh out of all of them. His laugh literally cures cancer.

Thanks. New av image found.

I sure do enjoy mysterious games.

Hey at least The Path was more horror-y than the last two entries.
It was ...mysterious and spooky at least.
It was subtly creepy how no matter how hard they tried, they ended up back at the Graveyard.

The path looks like a game you'd need to spend a few hours playing to get the creep factor higher. It was a fascinating video to watch none the less.

Oh my god, Super best friends thread. This is going to be one of the greatest thread ever. Pat's my favourite.

While this year's shitstorm has been lax on the scares, I'm still enjoying it a bunch. I've always felt that my favorite thing about the SBF is the fact that they are (almost) always talking and interacting with each other. And when there is nothing to talk about in the game, they fill the space with random conversations and silly banter, so there is rarely a dull moment. While I do wish they'd play more actually scary games, we've still got 15 more days before this shitstorm passes, so there's still plenty of time for plenty of games. I wonder if they're gonna start another full LP of a scary game at the end like last year's Eternal Darkness playthrough. Time will tell.

That LP of Eternal Darkness was literally the best thing. I love how they bro it up with Mantarok, and one of my favorite scenes is them preparing for a solid 1.5 minutes to fight the guardian.
Cue Curbstomp Cutscene.
"...OKAY!!!"

So far, this 'Shitstorm of Scariness' is doing good. I hope there's a moment I can find that will top their video from last year where they played 'Cry of Fear' and Pat was scared shitless.

Go to 8:40 on the video to get ready for huge laughs. It happens at 8:50, but I want to set the mood a little earlier for enjoyment.

I hope they do one for a Splatterhouse game.

I don't care which one, they're all hilariously broken or weird.

That Play Illbleed was actually pretty great.
I actually hope that's the one they do for a full let's play, because I started watching a Let's Play of it shortly afterwards, and it is just batfuck insane. Their commentary on it would be hilarious!

Anything is good as long as it scares the shit out of them.

I personally want to see them try to actually beat 'Slender: The Arrival' cause it was too good to pass up.

Let's not forget this piece of lovely work by Matt & Woolie.

I started playing fighting games after Matt mentioned how Woolie had to face Daigo at EVO.
I got interested in Skullgirls because of this video.
And that's the story how Woolie stole my freetime. Goddammit Woolie.

Splatterhouse has jump scares. At least I remember it did on the turbografix.

I'm surprised neither of them had a knowledge drop on Illbleed's questionable new game plus easter egg. That'd have certainly made for an interesting conversation between the two of them. lol

Yeah I heard about that, and the LP I'm watching of it DOES cover the New Game Plus, looks like.
You gotta wonder why this game wasn't so successful, if it came out a few years later it'd probably be like the Scream of the Video Game world (since it's a satire)

Well, the game does have a cult following apparently. Maybe it would've caught more attention if it had released on more consoles than the Dreamcast. Apparently it almost had an Xbox release, though I don't know what happened to that.

There's also the fact the game's director sadly passed away in 2004. So it's never gonna happen.
Still a pretty shining gem though.
Oh well, getting off topic.

Now that I have a break from college stuff I'm going to spend a lot of my free time watching catching up on The Shitstorm and The Friendcast.
I'm glad there are plenty of fans here on SkullHeart, I was afraid that this thread would die out quickly.

Well, today's shitstorm sure was... disheartening. I guess it's inevitable for all let's players to eventually have a moment where they have a brain fart and completely ignore all the info and advice the game gives them, on top of doing no research, but yeesh that was bad. First time for everything I guess, at least Mat and Pat don't normally have moments like this compared to other LPers

Eh, could be worse.
Could be their Jojo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle review. (Yes I'm still sore over that)

they are right about the game being not fun to play due to fan service overtaking actually playing well. I hate watching the jojo's matches cuz they FEEL SO SLOW! and they apologized about the misconception of unlocking characters. dont be making the jojo's fans look like guys who cant let mistakes that have been apologized for go.

The SCP Containment Breach video? I haven't seen it yet, I'm watching the Illbleed video. It couldn't have been that bad, could it? I don't think anything could top this disaster. Don't get me wrong I like Game Grumps, but the Bad Teddy LP was a Shitstorm in the worst way possible.
