I am the nerd.
It's true, look at this incriminating evidence.

I'll make sure to get you guys in there next week.

Turns out I'm working next thursday night. I wont be able to play until like... 9pm

Shoutouts to Negus for cancelling an actual grudge match lol

Then again, it would look like thr south park cripple fight lol.

fwiw I respect Negus a lot for having discretion with which matches he picks and not just accepting anybody who happens to ask
you say this, but we still got me vs yaya

Any time bad players are on stream it devolves to "wow why did they do that" or "WHY DID HE RESET HIM THAT COMBO WOULD HAVE KILLED". So I dunno, keeping at least semi-recognizable players is worth it.

I think it's a good idea for a show whose base premise isn't people throwing out matches they either want to play or see and trying to make that happen. We preferably want good matches, sure, but I like the idea that the average joe can step up and show us what he's got. Shooting down a match because "no, that'd be too free" or "no, you guys are bad/nobodies, we only want known players" seems like it kills the spirit of the whole thing to me.

Plus fresh faces mang

Can we make the requirements of:
- Must know a combo and be able to do it consistently
- Must know at least one reset and do it occasionally
- Must know a double snap combo because good lord when people don't go for easy double snaps I just get angry
- Must know your ABC's
I qualify for none of these. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Like basically if there are these sorts of requirements that people want enforced, I don't have the right as host to enforce them. So fuck hosting this anymore if that's what's going to be expected.

I personally think it's a host by host basis. If you want to give other players a shot then go for it. Personally I went for 3 good matches because this is the biggest weekly Skullgirls showcase that's not Salty/Rebel up and I just felt like trying to give people 3 matches with solid players and hopefully not lopsided results.

SNS has been getting some good numbers, too.

But yeah, whatever the host wants to do is their call, that's perfectly fair.

Thanks for narrowing it down to no one.

Takes 20 minutes to do all of the above. Lazy sg players want the attention but won't learn a bnb~

Can't tell if serious either LOL

Only want to run top players with good connections against each other for four matches each week, huh?

You'll find out why real-life fight cards don't run four main events per show real fast.

this week had keon, rickoni, brand, and fastturtle. All players I wanted to see more than brand and azure ~_~
if players want to play then at least meet khaos's baby requirements.

You wanted to see Brand play more than Brand? You make Blandaid sad.

It's not even about seeing top players (of which we don't even have that many; Ken, Dekillsage, SonicFox, Severin, TJ, and Duckator are leagues above everyone else). I also want to see lesser known people step in. I just don't want to see boring matches with poor play because so many people lack the drive to improve. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but this event was created to create hype and get some good matches going.

Like seriously, there are so many resources out now for people to learn a simple BnB or routes that go into resets. Much more compared to when the game first came out and we didn't even have a forum.
