Oh, if you meant "Will the changes be in retail BEFORE Beowulf?" the answer is no, a ton of things have changed about the code (rather than just the character scripts) so I can't actually make any further retail updates until they come with all the changes or none of them.

Right? She's great so far! I've enjoyed using her more than either Beowulf and Eliza. (It's a matter of taste of course, but she just feels, moves and looks so damn good.)

Wait, so has the "Real Soviet" announcer pack officially transformed into the Mike Z announcer pack? Because honestly, I'd rather have regular Mike snarking us up than hear the same dumb meme spouted over and over throughout the game...

There's no deficit of snark, don't worry about that.

Probably not. It is a on a lower budget after all. Personally i wish the oil on the airdashes were small boosters/torch flames instead to slightly differenciate her from Ms. Fortune.

I reckon they'll change her lose animation, she pretty much reverts into regular Fortune for that, and you know they'd love to make her explode or something.

It would be VERY unlikely to see any of the colored frames get replaced now. All her walking, jumping, hit stuns, etc are pretty much guaranteed to stay as they are now. After all, they've been completely redrawn from the original Ms. Fortune animations. It's not like a 3D game where you can just release a new costume pack and the same animations will work on it. They had to individually draw over each frame of Fortune's animations to get Robo's.

I think by "pretty much" you mean "literally". It is kinda funny to see Robo's colors go tits up on regular Fortune.
 
Yeah, she'll have a new lose animation. We don't intend to just leave Ms Fortune frames in there. Didn't mean to leave any in there for when she hit beta either, but either we forgot or decided it was better to just get her in there.

We'll probably change the dashing effect colors.
EDIT: The current dash effects aren't final.

She's getting a new snapback animation too. We don't intend to just leave the old one and have it be redundant with her sHK.

Lawd have all the mercy.... those completed Baewulf animations are sexy as fudge! (Doesn't hurt that the Alex and Jax palettes amp it all up)

I don't know if Night Phyre veered far from what he did with the reel, but I sure feel that it matches Baewulf real good. (And that manbun tho at the Salty? STAHP. Feelin' it! (w/ homo) *excuse the emotions*)

And I have to say I wasn't expecting LabZero to pretty up Robo-Fortune that much (I guess I wasn't immersed that much from Robo-Ky), but she too is shaping up to be a visually amazing character to the roster.

Based on the fact you told us to "forget everything we know about Beowulf" I imagine he'll sound like your performance with a different personality.

Well, it's nice that you had already accepted my voice as Beowulf in your head, but that reel was never technically something you, "knew," about Beowulf :P

Well just like us you based your reel on a speculated personality, and everything we've ever thought we've known about Beowulf was us speculating in a similar way.
Now you've become privy to what the character is like, the kind of things he would and wouldn't say and the way he'd say them.

Night Phyre was deliberately postponing recording day so he could laugh a little longer.
The only way to keep myself from spilling the beans due to excitement was to encourage and laugh at all of your wild speculation :P

A character with a beam as a special move could be very interesting...

I would enjoy that kind of character.
 
She got beams since Salty on Friday. L hits close to the ground, M and H are both high enough for all characters besides Big Band to duck, and H is the only one that hits multiple times.

As Night Phyre is an active Skullgirls player, it makes me wonder which will be weirder for him:
Fighting with Beowulf and hearing the character he controls shout with his voice,
OR​
being defeated by an opponent's Beowulf and hearing THAT guy taunt Phyre in his own voice.

Not gonna lie, it would be funnier if he had everyone else at the VOG day play Beowulf in Arcade, since him already knowing how to play means he could just breeze through Story Mode <unless they bumped the difficulty to Nightmare or something =P>
 
@Night Phyre, massive congrats on getting the part; I'll definitely be looking forward to playing Beowulf.

Beowulf is now the immortal embodiment of hype, and I love it.
