I am super excited.
Ultraman has been so good on crunchyroll with Max and X.
can't wait for the anime. I need to catch up on the new manga they made as a sequel to the original Ultraman.
 
I mean, I dunno, maybe. all I've seen are japanese articles showing off an Ultraman and what' looks like not-Ultraman (though I haven't seen all of them, I'm still kinda new on the thing)
I'd love to see some good toku inspired anime.
you can have more outlandish heroes that don't have to rely on CG special effects since it can all be animated.
look at stuff like Tiger & Bunny and Samurai Flamenco and try to tell me a toku show wouldn't be good as the live action thing.

holy shit they have concept art for Ultraseven, Ultraman Taro and Ultraman Ace.

I'd prefer them be animated anyway since that's why I don't watch those kinda shows in the first place, I just can't get into the cheesy live action stuff
 
most of the time they aren't that cheesy.
like, if you want a good Ultraman show for a first time try, check out Tiga or Max.
like, you might not like the monsters because they're all suits, but the fights have really great choreography.
plus, I like how Ultraman isn't the guy who can come out and fight for hours on end.
he has a time limit and I feel that's the best thing for a hero like that.
 
well idk if this is really the place to post this but now-former funimation voice actor Scott Freeman has been convicted on charges of possessing child pornography.
Funimation formally cut ties with Freeman back in May, when his actions became known to them.
While incredibly disgusting, I can only hope this was the extent of his crimes, especially with amount of female fans of the works he was involved in, like Hetalia.

I'm gonna try out a Fate series and start with UBW.
no, i don't care about the original anime.
no, I don't care about Zero.
no, i don't care about the other visual novels.
I just want to watch UBW, and then if I like that, I'll get to the other stuff.

UBW is one of the alternate endings.
 
Kinda sad that I haven't watched any anime lately. I was eagerly waiting to start a few series that had been only my list for a while (Saki Zenkoku-hen, 009-1 and LOGH), and then a few days after starting them I just stopped for some reason.
 
I don't get what really happened halway into the part where they get to Shibuya. ._.

Passing on the original and the light novels is fine. But don't skip Fate/Zero! It is a necessary prequel that colors in a ton of backstory. I'd say it is nearly required watching for Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works.

I'm a couple of episodes away from finishing UBW myself. Gorgeous production values, but some character and plot aspects drag it down. A strong 6 or light 7 out of 10.
 
Probably old news, but apparenlty High Score Girl is going to resume publication soon, and Nichijou is going to end this year.

even if Brotherhood isn't your favorite anime.
you gotta admit, it's probably the most well-written anime ever.
 
It's funny, because I saw the first few episodes of the original on Adult swim years ago, and it was the first anime that really hooked me. Thing is about halfway through, it got really messy, and I can barely even recall what happened past that. I was disappointed.

Brotherhood, however, was an entirely different story. It never lost it's greatness throughout the entire series. It was an exhausting experience, but worth every second.
